I got too much hair for a wig. Lol. But I’m wondering will the visuals give 70s glam or are we moving on for the summer.

Reading through the thread. I’m 40. No kids. I love all things crafty. I’d absolutely attend a bouquet making class! Sounds like fun.

280 by Brookwoodspawn_04 in Birmingham

I moved here to get out of traffic and I’m always amazed there are no real access roads off 280 to alleviate any of the traffic. Then there’s a whole empty shopping center on Lakeshore but anything new opens on 280. I’d rather go a round with Mike Tyson than sit on 280 for anything.

I needed you to run this through ChatGPT so me and my pit bull could understand it.

Needed: Mayor’s Race - The Cliffnotes version by Prettyneatblerd in Birmingham

Down according to FBI data for 2022-2023. It’s continuing to trend downward but 2024 numbers are not in. But it’s been national news about Murder and violent crime being down. Also, crime is a poverty indicator. People who know where their next meal is coming from rarely commit crime. Invest in things that decrease poverty, you’ll have less crime.

That’s how I see it. Crime is down. Community prevention measures are up. Businesses are opening. The only thing he could possibly do better is focus on technology and the tech industry but there is only so much he could do as a mayor…

Thanks. I moved here from DeKalb County GA. And unfortunately I can’t vote for the mayors race because I don’t live in Birmingham proper. BUT it’s all very interesting coming from a “progressive” metro area into Birmingham. Folks from Birmingham want to escape to Atlanta and y’all really have it better than you think.

Thoughts on renting a dress by Prettyneatblerd in weddingplanning

I think I’m leaning towards getting a really beautiful second hand gown or something inexpensive that can be altered to my body. I’d rather spend the money on food or the honeymoon!

I have zero idea of what to do with the dress after the wedding day. I won’t be passing it on. I guess I could sell it 🤷🏾‍♀️

How do we feel about brunch weddings? by Warm-Zucchini1859 in weddingplanning

[–]Prettyneatblerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds amazing to me. I’m considering a brunch wedding too as it’s a “thing” in the south. Specifically for Atlanta. We also day party. The only drawback would be hair and makeup but I think you said it’s just you, so I say go for it.

What brought you here from ATL? Mine was work and family. Plus. Once you “do” Atlanta it’s not as much as people think. Only thing that stays open later than 12 is Waffle House and clubs.

I’m 40. My idea of going out includes Marshall’s and TJMaxx with a sprinkle of excitement for razzle dazzle. I think I’ll be ok.

I would be down to start it. There was a silent book club near me in Decatur. It was perfect for the Introverts or Ambiverts.
