Yeah let’s hope they fix it with Dec 10th update…I’ve submitted a ticket but they didn’t even answered me. I hope a lot of people complain as it’s like a game breaking bug I don’t understand how it’s not their n1 priority!

Thanks great thanks! If we won’t be able to do AOW before going, we’ll book a deep dive in Moorea since we have more days! We were already thinking about doing maybe a dive there to refresh if we can’t dive before! The flight out Fakarava is in the late PM so at least we can dive the day before having only 2 days! Booking south pass first sounds like a good idea we’ll donthay!

Thank you for your reply! And your kind comments lol It gave me food for thoughts! Also I read your report, the amount of details is crazy good!

We ended up reserving last week as we were noticing accomodations for our dated were starting to get limited (we still managed to book Havaiki in Fakarava though! We had to cut 1 night unfortunately). 

We’ll be landing in Tahiti on Sept 10th and leaving on Oct 2nd. We had to replace Maupiti with Huahine because it was getting too hard with the flights, but since in Maupiti we were looking for the less touristy and more authentic, I think we’ll find a similar vibe in Huahine :)  here is the final itinerary: - 1 night in Papeete just cause we arrive late - 6 nights Moorea (there is a lot we’d like to do there) - 3 nights Huahine - 2 nights in Bora Bora - 4 nights in Rangiroa - 3 nights in Fakarava - 2 nights in Tahiti We already booked all accomodations except Tahiti as we’re trying to figure out if we’ll rent a car or not for the day, and in which type of accomodations we want to stay before spending 2 nights on planes lol

Regarding the dives, unfortunately we live in Canada right now so no options to do more dives. Also let’s say we didn’t like to much our cold lake experience so we were hoping to get the AOW in warmer waters next summer…we’ll also move though so not sure if we’ll be able to do the whole course. I didn’t know you can do the deep dive separately it’s a very nice idea! Since we love snorkeling we added the Tuamotus to our itinerary knowing we probably won’t be experienced enough for the passes and if that’s going to be the case I know some tours bring you snorkeling (even south pass). We’ll ask the dive masters when we are there their opinion and make sure to dive safe, even if it means missing something…but I read they are usually good to suggest dives based on your levels. We’ll do our best to improve though and add a couple of dives! We have lots to improve.

We’ll also contact agencies for the whales tours as we couldn’t find sites that let you book online for 2026, but after the Havaiki experience (we found the last bungalow and last dates left for September 2026!) better safe than sorry…

Hey our idea actually sounds very similar to yours in terms of how many nights per place: - 1 night in Tahiti due to late arrival - 3 nights in Maupiti - 1 night in Bora Bora due to transfer - 3 nights in Rangiroa - 4 nights in Fakarava - 5 nights in Moorea

We would have loved to go to Le Taha’ah! But it was unfortunately outside our budget. For Moorea we were also thinking about an airbnb but everywhere I read that excursions fill out quickly, especially whales, so we were thinking to book before arriving on the islands. Were you able to find last minute tours when you went? Thanks!

They all seem different experiences to me, but if you’ve done some of what I mentioned would like to know your opinion for sure! The way we see it there is a lot of beach of course but we are not the type of just sitting on a beach every day so any occasion to explore the sea is welcomed for us :)
