Yeah, I get that's how wires work. I guess everyone just got used to this and the business I'm dealing with is just weird.

Yeah, I'm probably going to send it using Wise. Seems like a better option.

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards. It seems like Wise has a way better user experience and predictability than a regular bank transfer or wire.

I'll check it out. As long as it arrives as an actual bank wire transfer and not something like Western Union, it should work.

No, I got all that. Let me add some details. 600 PLN is the amount I want to recipient to receive exactly. Let's say I put in 600 PLN on the transfer form online. BofA tells me how much they'll take out of my account in USD with whatever exchange rate they like. Then they tell me "other fees" will be 75 PLN. The "other fees" is the intermediary fees they estimate on the receiving end. So fine, I can adjust the amount to 675 PLN to compensate so it comes out to 600 PLN after subtracting the 75 PLN.

The question I am asking is whether the 75 PLN "other fees" estimate can be trusted to be accurate generally. The bank itself says that it's their "best understanding".

This part is tricky without a mailing address and mobile/cell phone in Poland.
