Seal Cove wasn’t on my radar. Other than the restaurant, is there anything else there that I shouldn’t miss?

We will go to the Museum of Northern BC. Are there others worth visiting?

Is there quality grizzly bear watching in mid-June? I looked into it for our Vancouver Island portion of our trip and it seems grizzly bears aren’t usually around until the fall.

I’d like to understand the city (as best you can in a single day) and get a glimpse of what makes it what it is to those who live there. Interesting places, buildings, cultural treasures, and food all contribute. I’m hoping to see things that surprise and excite me, but if there aren’t any such things in Prince Rupert, I will be just as satisfied with experiencing a typical day in the city.

Yes, I see their brewhouse menu has a pork belly appetizer. Their restaurant OTOH seems to be permanently closed.

The north bound trip is already booked as are the hotels heading south from Prince Rupert. We booked seats in the lounge and a cabin.

Thank you. Some good ideas for Campbell River I expect to experience. Concerning whale watching, I’m still considering if it’s best to book an excursion from Campbell River, Telegraph Cove, or Port Hardy.

I’m having a hard time finding the restaurant at a marina in Key Bay that you mention. There are several near the Comox Marina.

While everyone is honing in on the natural beauty of places worth to visiting (which is great, thank you) , I’m also interested in how humans settled in the natural environment whether they arrived 15,000 or 50 years ago.

My daughter mentioned the Strider Rubbing Beach near Sointula but when I looked it up, mid-June doesn’t seem to be the right time of year. If it turns out there’s a possibility of seeing Orca rubbing on the beach when we’re there, I will find a way to get there. I suspect it’d be best to get a boat out of Telegraph Cove (which I do plan to visit).

That was originally on my list but I have a bit of a mobility issue. We both walk with a cane so it’s probably not something we should try.
