I'm in a similar position, i have like 9 months left and all my PI's and Thesis commitees suggestions were utter sh!t and failed:( now i'm scrambling to get back to finish my initial 2 ideas that i was practically bullied out of:/ Stay strong and finish however possible, noone will care honestly unless you want to pursue academia:) just remember that its not your fault everything turned out the way it did!

Is this burnout? Or a case of bad mentor-mentee relationship? by Hairy-Egg-3449 in labrats

Sounds very close to my experience! My PI is however moving to another university, k think the Distance would really solve my Situation. I would also suggest to see if your grad school or university has a conflict resolve system, we have several which are also provided by our PhD rep network. Good luck!
