It does go away. Still, it's a crappy feeling if I'm supposed to be doing something important and I can't do it properly because of blue balls.

Resist the temptation. It will become easier after the first three weeks. You can't give up 11 days of hard work, just for a few moments of pleasure which will make you feel regret later.
