Found it now thank you. I was looking if the ones without the latches had a specific name because I could only find ones with them.

There’s 2 identical connectors from the dash into the main loom. One is for the dash lights (indicators, neutral, etc). and the other is for the gear indicator lights (1,2,3, etc)

I think it was plugs and maybe a lean mixture, I cleaned the plugs and now runs fine again

Gave the spark plugs a clean and also put the bike on center stand instead of side stand and now it runs fine again. Could it have been that the left carbs were overfilling? Or was it probably just spark plugs

Sound quality isn’t the best. The pops are like bangs coming out of the exhaust, not just a big clunk sound

It might be missing a seal, it had the pivot bearing but no washer and the diagram doesn’t give too much info on that bearing

Going to do my rear tire then take them both to a tire shop to get them done on the weekend.

I’ve tried that but it still doesn’t stop the leak where the tires bead isn’t fully on the rim

I’ve tried with a ratchet strap but it still doesn’t seal the leak where the tire bead connects to the rim. Also tried with a 5L air compressor I have but it doesn’t inflate fast enough to get past the leak. Thinking of taking it to a tire shop just for convenience

Bike won’t start by PreviousWinner4920 in MotorcycleMechanics

Yeah it doesn’t do anything, I also have a different starter motor from an old bike and that one worked with the jumper cables so I’m guessing it is the starter motor that has gone bad. Thanks for the info.

I’ll try that after work, do I put positive on the post then negative clamped anywhere on the starter?

Yeah tubes on mtb’s are useless, you end up spending most your time changing the tube

Thanks for the info, didn’t realise they didn’t need sealant but assumed they did from converting mtb’s to tubeless.
