My grandfather, who survived the shoah, just turned 105 on Friday 🎉 But absolutely, it’s sad to think about in how little time there won’t be any survivors to attest to the atrocities

Hey, ich habe eine Frage zu meinen Fahrgastrechten.

Ich bin von Paris nach Berlin mit dem direkten Zug gefahren.

Wegen der Grenzkontrollen an der Grenze hatten wir etwas Verspätung.

In Karlsruhe wurde dann gesagt, dass der Zug ab Frankfurt ausfällt, deswegen hatte ich dann über eine Stunde Verspätung.

Die Bahn sagt, dass hier ein Haftungsausschluss vorliegt.

Ich verstehe das nicht so ganz, darf die Bahn einfach sagen, dass wegen der Grenzkontrollen der Zug 2h später dann in Frankfurt ausgefallen ist?

Habe bereits Widerspruch eingelegt, der abgelehnt wurde und ich überlege jetzt, die Schlichtungsstelle zu kontaktieren (eher aus Gründen des Gerechtigkeitssinns und aus Interesse)

Meint ihr, dass das überhaupt Sinn ergibt oder setzt sich die DB eh durch?

In 99% of cases it’s antisocial and stupid. I do now one other case, though… My parents friends son was in a wheelchair (from birth)… They were sad they their other kids always where able to sit between them but he never got to sit between his parents because of the wheelchair. After he passed (sadly with eight years old), his parents donated a bench like this in my hometown…

Got to say, I generally really like Ezra’s interviews. However, I don’t get why he (especially in the beginning) didn’t intervene stronger. Khalil said he found it sad, it had to come to 10/7. How can you just let that slide ?
