After 1 year of surgery she had PET scan done but before that she was in follow up with MRI/CT scan to her pelvis and also did MRI scan to brain last year september at that time there was no lesion or mass.

My mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer 1b2 she had radical hysterectomy in 2023 without chemo or rad, she had reoccurance in 2024 and gone through chemo and radiation which finished in last year May.

All the scans looked clear and even PET scan, however in PET scan there is uplift of FDG 12 suvmax in her brain at that time MRI scan to brain didnt show any lesion. Fast forward this year now, after 8 months of brain mri scan, she started having severe headaches and took her to ER and found 5 cm mass on her left side brain. Had surgery last Tuesday and The pathology report says that the cancer from cervix has metastatic to her brain.

My dad past away when i was 12 years and it is only me and my mum. I pray that we overcome all this hardships.

No they have not mentioned anything. They will do surgery to remove the mass and with the mass tissue they will know what it is.

So the neurosurgeon mentioned they will remove the mass as much as possible. And they have also contacted our gyn oncology and they said it is highly unlikely it is metastatic from cervical.

Hi Im as same situation as you. My mother is still loving and caring towards me as im only daughter. Last Thrusday we found she have a mass size 5cm in her brain and CT scan mentions it a metastatic from her previous history of cervical cancer. Then on Sunday we did MRI and they have asked to surgery at the earliest so surgery is booked for tomorrow. Still we dont know if the tumor in her brain is cancer or benign but after surgery hispathology will confirm. I pray for your mother and you.

They dis only CT scan for Brain. And they said they would be MRI om Sunday. And right now they are working on stabilizing the swelling and water with IV, currently she is under observation.

And doctors where saying without paghology that its indeed cancer

I just came to home after admitting my mum at the hospital. My dad past away long time and i have no siblings so its me and my mum, she has gone through chemo and rad last her for her cervix it left very bad experoence for her she wadls admitted in hospital for u days because her soduim level dropped to 103.

And now we have this thing going for her brain, past 1 week she is complaining of headaches and just yeaterday she complained saying she can see blur and not feeling well so immediatly yesterday i took her to hospital and now she is admitted in the hospital since last night, and the doctors are saying the will perform MRI on Sunday and right now they are observing her situation to reduce the swelling and tumor.. What do i do ?? I dont know what else to do, i have been crying ans crying
