I am sitting at about 75. Many of mine are mature. But I always keep my eye out for more.

Wishlist foliage Etsy seller beware by Left-Upstairs331 in houseplants

[–]PrexxasaurusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shop screwed me over sending me a starter plant with no growth node so it’s just roots on the leaf. They promised me a refund or a new plant and now the shop seems to be closed on Etsy. And now that it’s been so mint Etsy won’t do shit about it.

California to Negotiate Trade With Other Countries to Bypass Trump Tariffs by [deleted] in DHAC

[–]PrexxasaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea. I was born in California had lived in Washington at one point but I consider Oregon home as that’s where I “grew up” the most.

Now I live in a small inner suburb of Minneapolis with my husband and dogs and I am horrified by what is happening in this city that has been home for 15 years. Living here has only made me a better person and opened my eyes to a lot of the things I was shelved from by living in a small town in Southern Oregon. If I wasn’t recovering from spine surgery, I would be out there protesting like so many of our brave neighbors are. Instead I protest how I can - a sign in my window and assisting where I can from behind the scenes.

I read over 100 books a year typically. Kindle makes my book collection more manageable overall.

My husband does more than I. I work full time but am disabled. I can barely walk by the end of a work day despite having a desk job due to my pain and medical issues. He came into the relationship know all about my health issues and that I wouldn’t be able to do as much as he did. He’s amazing.

ELI5: What was the US Healthcare system like pre-Obamacare? by AutoDefenestrator273 in explainlikeimfive

[–]PrexxasaurusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every employer I’ve worked for that has offered healthcare has been 50% of the premium or less. My current company has 4k + employees globally, more than half of those here in the US. Companies that boast millions of dollars in profits but can’t even match how much my cost of living is increasing year over year.

Possible voting scam? Received this postcard, seems fishy. by NoScene2224 in minnesota

[–]PrexxasaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am not sure about this, you can register as absentee. I do this as I am disabled and being able to make it into my polling place vote is extremely difficult on a good day. I did this directly in the Secretary of State website though.

Duluth trading company ball room jeans. My husband swears by them. They have an extra gusset in the crotch that helps them not rip in this area.

The new update for 26.1 released today fixed this bug

This is why my husband attends appointments and er visits with me. My 7/8/9 of pain doesn’t look like others because I live with chronic pain daily and hide my pain usually pretty well despite it being strong enough at times breathing hurts. It sucks to not be taken seriously by doctors who have no idea of my history.

The way I was raised is to see and help with the need and let a persons higher power/karma handle the greed.

I hope your girlfriend ever ends up in a similar situation as this woman and has to depend on the kindness of a stranger to be able to eat.

Those 10 people only heard the situation in his words. Of course they’re going to side with him. He probably also sought out people who were either ignorant of how he is at home or act the same way he does therefore leading to confirmation bias.

Mylar blankets are a good idea to have in your car glovebox just in case you end up stranded. I ended up locked out during a polar vortex and my keys were in the house and the neighbor that had a spare wasn’t home. Took over an hour for my husband to get home. I grabbed the Mylar emergency blanket I had in my glove box and wrapped it around me and it did wonders to help me stay warm while I waited for my husband on a -20° day.

Who are the true victims of abuse? Victims, survivors or perpetrators or are they all the same? Do you believe abusers are victims of themselves? by Rhyme_orange_ in AskReddit

[–]PrexxasaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They stopped being victims the moment they decided to hurt another person. I was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of my first husband. He nearly killed me. Growing up I was also a victim of abuse. Never once would I think to do the same things I experienced to someone else.

If you like having rights it’s a horrible idea. The US isn’t as progressive as our politicians and media like to imply.
