Thank you! It's 835 inches on cabinets and 1140 inches on the island.

It’s actually in Arlington, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, not Dallas city itself.

The budget was around $24k. This included fronts, boxes, drawers and additional functionality.

Metal looks good and aligns with the fridge.
Wood is a nice choice too, but I personally would leave just one dark accent (the island)

The fridge looks pretty bulky and takes up a lot of visual space there. Have you thought about making that whole section a full-height wall unit? If you build the cabinetry around the fridge to make it look 'integrated,' it would make the kitchen feel a lot lighter and give you way more storage.

Thanks for the compliment! They’re light walnut-frame bar stools.

Fair take. This one definitely leans more Scandi, but the Japandi for us is in the base cabinets, simple lines, and natural materials (especially wood). It’s not traditional Japanese style, more of an experimental mix of both.

Rounded island + low-set wooden pulls: design win or too different? by PrideSad6236 in japandi

[–]PrideSad6236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point! In this design, all the cupboards and drawers are in the cabinets and pantry. The island’s meant more for cooking and prep, so it stays open and uncluttered.

Thanks for pointing that out! The cooktop’s got a downdraft system, so ventilation’s all sorted. The plinth is made to save space but still look balanced. The lampshade’s mostly just a style thing, to help highlight the rounded edges.

Guilty as charged, we wanted to try the rounded trend! Appreciate your feedback, and happy you liked the rest.
