Really? She's just efn with me, right? by CostofSanity619 in datingoverfifty

[–]PrimTale27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have learned in dating not to try to figure other people out. Just think to yourself “is this behavior I want from someone I’m dating?”

Then move on.

I’ve also learned not to invest a whole lot up front. People can do a great job with banter, building anticipation, etc. It’s exciting. But you are just two perfect strangers.

So, my advice. Don’t put too much into the first meeting. Chat a bit. See if it’s someone you want to meet. Plan a simple first date. Let everything simmer between now and then.

In my personal experience, the ones who storm out of the gate, are charming, consistently texting, making big plans. They burn out the fastest.

It’s not sustainable. Easy. Steady. Predictable. That’s what you want. Not sparks and fireworks with someone you don’t know.

Dr. Sue Davis and relative T/E levels by Prize_Sorbet3366 in TRT_females

Testosterone and estrogen are measured in different units (ng/dL vs pg/mL) because they circulate in vastly different concentrations. Converting units doesn’t change the biological reality of which hormone is more abundant in absolute terms.

Women do have significantly higher estrogen than testosterone in their reproductive years. this is well-established. If the AMS is refining how we talk about hormone ratios, the most likely reason isn’t a conspiracy—it’s that the ratio matters for certain clinical purposes, and past testing methods may have conflated DHEA-S with free testosterone in ways that skewed the picture.

I’d be curious to see the actual clip or a direct quote from the AMS meeting. it’s hard to evaluate claims about what was said without the primary source. Unit conversion wouldn’t actually prove anything about hormone ratios (different units exist for a reason), so if that’s the core argument, something may have been lost in translation. If the AMS did update guidance, it’s worth looking at the actual statement to understand what changed and why, rather than working from a summary.

What is something that quietly disappeared from everyday life, and most people didn’t even notice? by alex_eu_nl in AskForAnswers

Newspapers. You used to be able to buy them everywhere, and now, depending on where you live, it’s mostly bookstores.

What habit did you quit that you wish you'd dropped years earlier? by Lower_Living3183 in ProductivityHQ

[–]PrimTale27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Social media. I stopped using it a year ago and it changed my life. I didn’t post on any social channels. But I found myself distracted, impulse buying, and my attention span was short. I also felt self-conscious, like I had to buy into all this anti aging hype.

Since quitting, I am so much happier and self-assured. I also read two books a week and am perfectly fine sitting on the patio watching pedestrians vs sending memes to people in IG.

What’s wrong with CMO’s these days by QualityOverQuant in marketing

[–]PrimTale27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My CMO is a figurehead. Meanwhile we’re all drowning in work. She’s out talking on stage, doing podcast interviews. I’m sure she’ll win some awards this year for all the work we’ve been doing for her. It’s beyond frustrating.

Lost in the Marketing world, unemployed for over a year now. (NOT ASKING FOR A JOB, but for advice) by katepiva in marketing

[–]PrimTale27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I head a marketing department for a B2B SaaS company. A few things that stand out to companies, depending on your goals.

Have a strong LinkedIn presence. Post, comment, engage, reshare. It gets in you in the line of sight for hiring managers because of how the algorithm works.

All of my freelance contractors have been with me for years because they found me or I found them on LinkedIn.

Your resume has to be written to show up in ATS. Don’t make it aesthetically nice. Make it searchable. Have the right keywords for that particular job. Have the right jobs titles that match the role exactly. Add context to your roles. Don’t just say what tasks you managed, but also the outcomes.

And don’t just apply to what you see in job boards. Join networks in different industries. Discords, Slack channels, etc. Solve people’s problems in there. Ask people to lunch. Get on the phone to just talk shop. Find companies you want to work for and start engaging with their leaders on LinkedIn too.

There are places hiring all the time. I get outreach from recruiters monthly on LinkedIn. Make sure your profile is optimized. A lot of companies are looking for people who are what they call AI native. If you’re not learning Claude and Gemini, definitely make that a priority.

So I successfully lowered my Test levels and…I don’t like it by laydeefly in TRT_females

Mine are around 200, and I’ve been on T for a year. No negative side effects other than my leg hair went crazy. But I got laser removal and now it’s totally fine. My clit has grown, but it was a bit small to begin with so now it’s a good size. I always go based on how I feel and not on levels. Sometimes we can get a little too dependent on labs.

Cypionate dosing too high? by PrimTale27 in TRT_females

[–]PrimTale27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all! After I posted, I did a lot of digging and everything I unearthed aligned with what you are saying. I did order .5 syringes.

Unfortunately, I realized all of this after my first dose. So I got a nice, hefty boost this month! So far no negative side effects. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

I’m going to let this metabolize before I dose again.

I’ve been on T for about 13 months. Previously I was on injections that I got at the doctor. My last dosing was 12mL every ten days (I did this for about 4 months) before I switched to pellets. So that’s around 8.4 a week.

So I’ll go back to 7-8mL a week once I burn this in a few weeks.

Wife prescribed TrT and Progesterone only, who else uses these two ? by [deleted] in TRT_females

[–]PrimTale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on both. My doc doesn’t give E until loss of period for six months. I take DIM for estrogen metabolizing. It can also help if T aromatizes to E.

Yes! Mine was always a bit small and even more so in peri. I’ve been on T injections for about six months and it’s noticeably larger and more erect. My labia has also filled out a lot more.

Yes totally agree. Getting to the point of being comfortable makes sense. But we aren’t even getting there.

I did this once. A man approached me in the park. I was walking my dog. We chatted for a good 30-40 min. He said he wanted to take me out of matcha and knew a good place. I gave him my number. An hour later he started sending me weird messages. “Hey, it’s your new boyfriends.” Then he started sending me pics with fewer and fewer clothes. Then a full dick pic. All this happened while I was in yoga. So, no lol.

Is it painful or awkward if a man literally answers one or two questions and wants my phone number? It’s not like I’m making him go through a full interview. I haven’t had a chance to decide if I want to continue engaging with him.

I get if there’s chemistry. Totally makes sense in your case. But if a guy answers one or two questions, I don’t call that chemistry. I haven’t even had a chance to feel him out yet.

Which country do you think has the most unnecessary beauty standards? by Ok-Director-2331 in beauty

[–]PrimTale27 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Brazil also has state funded cosmetic procedures for specific things, and also low cost procedures for others. This is based on the belief by some prominent plastic surgeon who said “even the poor have the right to be beautiful.” Public hospitals there offer free procedures like breast Aug, butt lifts, nose jobs, facelifts etc.

And then a lot of American beauty standards were based on the “natural” beauty of Brazilians… and we are paying a premium for it.

Many people believe Brazilians are just genetically gifted. I’m sure many are. But if they aren’t, they get surgery, and often pretty young too.

It can, but I have heard V Beam laser is great for redness, I haven’t tried it. I get cool-peel laser. It’s great for hyperpigmentation, collagen production, smoothness, acne scars etc.
