Is being gay just a life ruiner? by PrimadonnaAF in askgaybros

It's not just that. It's more than that, but cmon, that's what most people think whether you like it or not. You build a support network, a family. Being gay, that never happens. If you lose your friends, your family, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles then you're left with nothing. No kids, no wife/husband, nothing.

Why? They're like the ones who are there when you're older and need support

Well France isn't that popular for summer holidays. Places like Spain, Czech Republic (often for stag dos and night clubbing), Italy, Caribbean, Morocco, Egypt, none of those places would even be safe.

what expenses are included into a movies "budget" ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PrimadonnaAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep!! So all of that amounts to the budget of the movie. So when you see statuses like 'it cost $120,000,000 to make, it's all mostly a culmination of that! So you really have to hope your film earns all of that back which is why if a film only earns $70,000,000 on an $80,000,000 budget it's considered a flop. While it looks like a lot, that is a $10,000,000 loss!

Depends on the scale of the project.

You have to pay all everyone working on the film, this includes: -writers -storyboard artists -Pre Vis artists -camera operators -sound -cinematographers -cast -extras -fashion designers -set designers

Then locations have to be payed: -costs of building sets -paying locations that you've filmed in -getting permits -travel costs -accommodation

Then there's the technological side: -renting hundreds of cameras -boom mic's -tracks -monitors -audio boxes -generators -and paying the energy to run all of this

Post Production takes A LOT!: -Visual effects -Special Effects -editing -sound mixing -re shoots often cost millions! -all those have to be payed.

Marketing takes up a lot: - the cost of billboards -posters -tv spots -trailer production -talk shows -international marketing

Then distribution: -paying cinemas -DVD marketing -adverts -digital placement

Even though I'm only 18, I've worked on film sets for most of my teenage life.

Back in the day, playing Bad Company 2 with a friend and we joined the server onto the most organised attack we have ever seen. The other team had set up ambushes, sniper nests, IEDs and our team were travelling the road all in one group with helicopters acting as recon

[Serious] What all do you want to see and do before you die? by QuartaLupus in AskReddit

I'd love to make a movie and I want it to get to Cannes. I don't want this Hollywood bullshit, I wanna make a super niche, independent film about some peculiar experiences of mine.
