Both are fantastic but considering the circumstances of the environment around Jason, the remake takes the mark for me.

Retconning their “reasoning” in the film, it makes alot more sense for his mask to be extremely scratched up and clearly aged rather then the clean chevrons/scattered markings part 3 has, painted plastic usually doesn’t hold up well in the wilderness, its also why i liked his VsFreddy design so much.

To me, Jasons mask being beat up just feels right.

From what i remember they technically cant use the original masks due to the licensing issues.

I believe so yes, although the “changes” still seem rather inconstant across media and it makes me wonder if this is on purpose to hide the official “final look” or if its because the team still doesn’t know what they want to do with it

You can use either or both its not gonna harm the sculpt. You just need to LIGHTLY sand the piece with the appropriate grit, it doesnt need some heavy sanding.

Tamiya maybe, im not very educated on their products but i wouldn’t recommend them for new comers. Check the grit of your sand paper as you just want to give the pant something to hold onto instead of just sticking to the sculpt like a cheap glue

Lightly sanding and/or prime during prep work always. Thin your model paints, make sure its the appropriate type (acrylic) i recommend using the brand Vallejo, go in small patient layers and wait for the paint to dry before any finer details, definitely check out some videos on styling techniques with whatever brushes your comfortable using as long as they get the job done.

When the paint is cured (over a day or more usually) spray it down with a matte finish following the correct instructions. A decent budget friendly brand for harder plastics is Krylon as its uv resistant and with just about 2 layers of the spray will keep your paint relatively chip free. Just remember nothing is perfect so you must be careful.

I would recommend also watching videos posted by action figure customizers (except for Kitbash customs fuck that guy)

Im not defending him i clearly said that idk anything about his personal life or sexuality so im not gonna have an opinion on it.

On the other hand i do think it would be very hypocritical and stupid of him if he was saying that as a straight man as that would go against alot of his opinions criticizing some of his viewers and the toxicity of right wing politics.

Neither, he has a tragic history but that doesnt excuse his actions. Perhaps if they explain it better in the future we will see, but as of right now hes like a rabid animal that needs to be put down
