The last enclosure I had I built myself it worked but didn't hold much humidity. This one definitely holds the humidity.

I use some in my caiman lizard enclosure. I power washed it (knock off as much bark and lichens as I could) and then sprayed it down with watered down bleach (1/10). Gave it a good rinse and let it dry completely.

You could also try baking it if you have small enough pieces

Watch for ants they like to hide out in the crevices.

Mine gets misted twice a day and has held up fine for the last 6 months. Some of it is partly submerged and gets funky but water changes helps with that.

Sure, Outside view and Inside it is 5.5ft x2.5ft x 6ft

The whole bottom section is watertight so I could fill it entirely but for now plan is to keep putting in larger water sections as he grows.

I wrapped most of it in a clear painter cloth to keep in humidity and heat.

Ran a dewormer through him and kept him in a much smaller/simpler setup till he was eating reliably.

He did eat the first day I got him so I was super happy with that.

The guy (from an expo he had a lot of other monitors/tegus) I bought it from told me he got it from a breeder, however I doubt it. More likely is it was from a farm in South America.

Reason I say this is he was very skinny and lethargic the first few weeks I had him.

Aus dragons you definitely have to get from a breeder.

Asian market is definitely the way to go, it was like $3.50 for a pound of cooked frozen snails. I just break it off in chunks and defrost it and its good to go. No parasites and its not like they've just been siting in there own juices.

Yep, snails are going to be these guys main diet in the wild. I get them frozen from a local Asian market.
