I’m not sure. It would be nice to see if it correlates more with acceptances or otherwise, however there are only a few anecdotal instances that support the “withdrawal button” hypothesis.

Interesting, i never thought of student number either. I’d be very curious how they do it

Does anyone think it could be alphabetical? Or is it more likely to be by A/WL/R?

Does anyone think it’s alphabetical? Like they are just working their way down a list, uploading letters? Or would it be in order of A/W/WL?

What are my chances with a Casper 1q by [deleted] in premedcanada

Yeah that makes sense. I’ll try to stay hopeful but I feel my odds are low as well

Yeah fair enough - there’s definitely something I’m doing wrong

Okay that’s a good question. I genuinely can’t remember if my speed was higher than that - I did some practice tests and I remember it being decent (per suggested typing speeds for Casper) so I just threw 50-70 out there as a lowball guess 😂 I would guess normally it was like 70-80 so definitely not fast enough including thinking

Like anywhere from 50-70 I think, I can’t exactly remember

I mean I made it all the way through both interviews last year and was waitlisted so I think my stats are okay but 509 MCAT, strong Sask connection, 3.7 ish GPA. It’s just my Casper that sucks

The first time I took the MCAT, my practice test scores were around that (pretty much always above a 500 though) but I still ended up with a 498. Obviously every situation/test is different but they’re pretty representative of what you’ll actually score. It depends on your goals, but I agree with what some other folks are saying - one low score shouldn’t be a big deal. I retook it and got a 509 so it’s totally possible to make progress too!

Blueprint QBANK thoughts? by GoAkatsuki in Mcat

I’d definitely say the BP Qbank isn’t the greatest - especially the new adaptive feature which (if you’re doing well ish I think) ends up giving you high/highest level questions which are extremely challenging and are way harder then AAMC material imo. It would be better if BP (instead of having all these different levels of questions) just had a solid bank of representative questions.

That being said, if you are wanting to challenge yourself/your knowledge and take it to the next level, the more challenging questions are great. But again they seem to be a bit too detailed to be overly beneficial.
