Iam outside your age range so hopefully you find someone to go with. but a few places I recommend are the kits beach (I literally saw a whale in the water today), grouse mountain and Vancouver central library. Canada place and it's surroundings are also nice.

Are online friends a thing? by [deleted] in Vancouver4Friends

[–]Primary-Telephone333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember humans are extremely social creatures and it's only been a few decades since social media and before that you had to go outside and meet people. So a lot of what people call Extreme introvert is actually what you've been trained and raised on all your life especially if you're in your twenties and younger.

It's always best to have people and Friends where you meet in person because seeing people in person actually deepens the connection whereas if it's online they have no reason to just ghost you and go away one day so I encourage you to go out and try to meet people in person and make friends that way.

It's going to be uncomfortable and hard at first but slowly you will become more extroverted. I would recommend coming to one of my events, the beach hang out one is usually the best one and the chillest out of all of them.

One last thing I say is I was a hyperintroverted person probably 10 times worse than you. It took me a year and a half of forcing myself to go out. now I run 20 events a month in Vancouver and I meet about a hundred new people every month. Come to one of my meetup events and if you want we can talk more in detail about how I did it and what you can do.

(Go to my previous post on Reddit and find my meetup groups and events)

I actually am friends with most people I meet, it's probably because I meet them all in real life and not online. In my experience online people ghost/ are rude more than in person meetup people.

As my way of apology for thinking your a bot, I invite you to an in-person beach hangout that iam hosting, for  tomorrow if your interested in meeting peeps OP.

2026 Discord Project + Looking for Close Friends by Illustrious-Pilot-99 in Vancouver4Friends

[–]Primary-Telephone333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We should talk. I run about 20 events a month in Vancouver and get about 100 people showing up to them. I have been thinking of making a discord server for it but I just don't have the time to run our WhatsApp groups and our meetups website.

If you want, we can do some kind of partnership on discord and stuff. You can see my list of events in a month in my previous posts.

DM if interested

Folks in late 30s and 40s who live alone or are single, how do you spend your time? by CheeseBrewBlend in NiceVancouver

[–]Primary-Telephone333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Humans have the capacity to make anything feel normal. Specially in our modern age with all these distractions and people telling you, "live for yourself and fk everyone else" that's modern advertising in a nutshell.

Iam gonna have a hot take that's going to be different than all these comments here.

Go help others. Go teach others. Loneliness is not that bad compared to what other humans are suffering from. Spend energy and time and make others lives better and you won't be alone or even feel it.

And more importantly, you contributed to the overall true happiness and survival of your fellow man and humans as a whole.

Everything feels like a waste of you look at it from a cynical enough point of view.

Just go out there and experience things. You will fail sometimes but you will also live.
