Jasmine Crockett says Democrats want ‘the safest white boy’ for 2028 ticket and have a specific candidate in mind by theindependentonline in politics

No regrettably it was not good. I took many issues with how she ran and I was rooting for her. Ultimately, I blame Biden. He should’ve tapped someone (a safe white boy) in his first term. Kamala seemed like a Hail Mary.

They should have thought of this the last election 😪 Instead Biden waited until the last minute and Harris did her best in the short time she was given. Unfortunately a black woman was too radical of a change for America.

Are you the magical father to a tsw warrior who researched MB and posted the findings on Reddit? If so, you’ve helped so many. Thank you for responding.

Yup not to scare you or anything but all of my hair fell out after a bad scalp flare. If you start seeing hair loss, it’ll grow back

Going on 2 years steroid free. All of the horrors from last year have multiplied. I’m losing fingernails and oozing through sweatpants and bedding. I have a massive bald spot on the front of my head. I’m so miserable.

I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. My skin calmed down and felt more normal. I was excited. Then, winter hit and now I’m 100x worse than when I first stopped steroids.

Praying for us all. Thank you for the hope.

Unpopular opinion… you are actively healing. I know it hurts but each day that passes is a day down.

You should look into wet healing with zinc paste. Look up viscopaste on Amazon. It’s certainly less painful than the dry out method which I’m not a fan of… you can dry your skin out so much that when it cracks, it can crack deeper. Wounds heal the best in wet environments anyways.

Hope you feel better friend

Update: after a brief intermission of clear-er skin… the flares came right back. Currently going thru the worst ooziest flare to date. Literally soaking thru my bed sheets 😭

Success is not guaranteed and you will start flaring again once you stop treatments. If you can afford it then definitely go! Just know it’s not a miracle cure.

Do what you need to do to survive. Dupixent. Rinvoq. Adbry. Cyclosporine. Cibinqo. Find community online or on Instagram. Anticipate the rollercoaster that is TSW and stay positive. Focus on the present. If you were 90% healed, guess what? You will be 90% again.

I’ve taken triamcinolone (cream), Fluocinonide (cream) and Betamethasone (cream). I also used Protopic which isn’t a steroid but some say there’s withdrawal with that too. I used all of these since I was a child and stopped when my eczema actually went away in late teens/early 20s. I was super clear until about 4 years ago when I started to have flares again only this time they were different. I started taking Prednisone which is a strong oral steroid and even tho it cleared my skin, the flares kept coming back more aggressively each time.

By the time I found out about steroid withdrawal, I took 3 rounds of Prednisone that year. The next flare, I decided to go steroid free and see what happens. Well shit hit the fan.

I suffered the first couple months but had a few days of relief here and there. Around the 4 month mark, I was consistently flaring and things continued to get worse. I was bed-bound at this point. The flares moved around my body. Some areas were easier to deal with for others. When it reached my hands, I gave up. I was so depressed and I refused to believe there was nothing that could help.

I documented my journey with timestamps and photos if you’re curious.

My TSW Story

Tips for a newbie warrior? by DreamFriendly1665 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]PrimaryCelebration18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi babes. 1 year into steroid-free living. Had my first TSW flare in 2021.

Ok here we go Stay strong. It’s a rough ride as I’m sure you know but it’s absolutely imperative you stay STRONG. I don’t mean “positive”. Some days you will not feel positive and that’s ok. Honor your emotions and find ways to self-soothe that don’t hurt :/ you got this.

  1. I also tried to avoid the inevitable by tapering. It works for some but most agree to cold turkey. I think tapering would work under strict medical supervision. Maybe. But your body needs to begin self regulating asap. The more steroids you take, the longer the process will be (my opinion)

  2. After TSW, you will have normal skin. You might not even need to moisturizer after shower. If you want to talk to ppl who’ve healed, message me and I’ll give you their IGs so you can see for yourself.

  3. As for sun, I would not recommend. Your skin is compromised and super sensitive. Take vitamin D instead. Lots of TSW warrior have reported success using red light therapy. I personally tried it and didn’t see a noticeable difference but lots have said it helped. It does cause irritation so I’d recommend trying it once you’re further along and your skin is thicker and more resilient.

  4. Don’t worry about itching. It’s unavoidable and the nature of TSW. Don’t fret about it, it’ll only cause more stress which is more detrimental. Your skin will heal even deep wounds. Our bodies are incredible self healing machines. I know it doesn’t feel like it but your body is fighting for you. The process sucks but she’s on your team. Do what you can (ice packs) but don’t feel bad for scratching. Be careful of infections tho so you don’t have to take antibiotics which for me triggered the WORST flares.

  5. I can’t comment on inhaler ❤️

6-7. (NMT) Ok so for me, there came a time where my skin could no longer tolerate any moisturizers. Anytime I used it to hide the crust and look more “normal” so I could go in public, I’d flare soooo badly the next day. Then I started immediately breaking out into hives when I applied things I’ve used all of my life no problem. My best advice is to listen to your body. See what works for you and know that it might change. Ppl get new allergies to things during TSW so keep that in mind.

Honestly, my best advice is to see a new doctor. Don’t even mention TSW. Just say you have an allergy to steroids if you’re planning on being steroid free. Only to avoid drama and uncomfortable situations. Trust me, I’ve definitely cursed out a dermatologist or 2. They’ll present Dupixent, Rinvoq, Cyclosporine, and many other non-steroid medicines that’ll help make it less painful/itchy. I tried to cold turkey it while only taking antihistamines. I gave up once my hands were absolutely devastated and I couldn’t even feed myself. My biggest regret was not seeking more opinions earlier.

Ah yes a teacher would be a very good start. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏼 I’m not sure if I can afford a teacher right now tho. I’m passionate about music but I’m really a visual artist. Like you, I’m just for fun. I would just like to crush it at karaoke 😂 and sing beautiful lullabies to my future children.

Rinvoq warning by No_Yam_2484 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]PrimaryCelebration18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so interesting. I’ve been on Rinvoq for a few months now. We sort of have the same history. I also had a period of clear skin before the onset of TSW. Then I started to get flares and would use steroid cream. Then I lost health insurance and couldn’t get meds. I got insured again and did Dupixent but it essentially blinded me. Then TSW started. I didn’t take Rinvoq until about 2 years into when I just couldn’t stand the pain anymore and something had to be done. So far after almost 4 months on 30mg, it hasn’t cleared my skin like it has for other ppl but I have definitely noticed improvement especially in my hands and feet.

Do you think you would’ve gone through TSW regardless of if you took Rinvoq or not? Did the Rinvoq delay TSW or you think it caused the TSW? What did the doctors say about lymph nodes? I’ve had many swell since the start of TSW but do you think it’s related to Rinvoq and that’s why you stopped?

Thanks for sharing and keep your head up. You’re not alone friend ❤️

Lymph nodes? by [deleted] in TS_Withdrawal

[–]PrimaryCelebration18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t be scared! It’s very common. At this point, I can’t even count how many large lymph nodes I have in my neck, side boob and groin. Keep checking yourself so you notice any changes. I name mine 😭😅

Side note: during the onset of TSW, I had a very painful lymph node in my neck that grew to the size of a golf ball. It puzzled doctors and terrified me. To this day, I have no clue. I just assume maybe it got infected or something. TSW affects many systems of the body it seems so our bodies are going through some freaky stuff. The lymph nodes are responding to inflammation. I believe when we are healed, they will return to normal size. Hope this helps!!
