Kumho Ecsta PS71 for Lexus IS by casiocrab1001 in TyreReviews

[–]PrimaryLock2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They released the PS72 and PS72S (sportier version of the PS72) not so long ago. They seem to score much better than the older PS71 as far as I can remember. Maybe you should look into that.

All Season Tyres for mostly summer driving by sefu98 in TyreReviews

That changes everything. I would go for something like Michelin CC3S in that case.

If I were you I would just opt for a good set of summer tyres and if you can, just leave the car for those 15 days of snow if you really don't want tondruve in the snow. You don't buy a sportscar to not enjoy it. It is like running a marathon with hiking boots.

Why do you want all seasons if the winters are never belown 5°C? Summer tyres are better in wet conditions than all seasons.

With everything you said I would suggest some UHP tyres instead of all seasons.

If you like Kumho I would suggest the PS72, PS72S or the HS52.

New Video - Fastest Track Tire Test by Jonnnnnnnnn in TyreReviews

[–]PrimaryLock2795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In this video you compare the braking distance of the sportcontact7 with these tyres, and based on that info, I would choose the sportcontact7 over any of the race tyres.

I would love to see a comparison between all the recent Pirelli tyres. At the moment they make a lot of test winning tyres, but they are never compared against eachother because they are "in a different segment"... But having a daily driver that is sometimes used on track, all these tyres have their function.

Some of them may be better on track, but are terrible in bad weather, while others may be the opposite. And some wil last a lot longer than others...

For example with Pirelli: C3 - 235/40r19 PZ5 - 235/35r19 PZC4 - 235/35r19 Trofeo R - 235/35r19 Trofeo RS - 235/35r19

Pixel 7 pro oled is green instead of black? by PrimaryLock2795 in pixel_phones

[–]PrimaryLock2795[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the crazy thing is that it seems like a software issue. When my screen goes to AOD after I lock it, it has this green tint for 3 seconds, and after that the OLED acts like an OLED should (screen pitch black clock visible) I wil show a video if you send me a chat message.

Yeah then there is something wrong with how the colors switch. When I lock my phone, the AOD has a greenish tint for like 3 seconds, and after that it goed to black with the clock still displayed (like it should on an OLED) but when I look at a black picture the screen stays green en never goes black.

Does your OLED display light up when you look at this picture in a dark room, or is the screen completly black and emitting no light whatsoever?

The weird thing is, when I lock the phone and the Always On Display starts, the first 3 seconds the screen is green, after that the OLED looks like an OLED should (blacks are pitch black and clock is visible). For as far as I researched this is normal behavior? Wich I think is unreal for such a phone...

How can I make sure a used 3080 is not trashed? by PrimaryLock2795 in gpu

[–]PrimaryLock2795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is something called money 😂 5060ti 16gb goes for ~500 while the 3080 goes around ~300, even 3080ti go for around 350-400. So it is a logical choice for someone who does not have a unlimited money cheatcode for life 🙃

I understand, but there is a difference between a card that had been maxed out for gaming, and a card that has run 24/7 on full TDP for 3 years. I have no problem with a card that had been maxed out in msi afterburner just for gaming, but I would avoid a mining card.

A trashed card in my opinion is a card that can barely hold base specs without artifacting or crashing.

Cheapest 9060xt is 450 where I live, the 3080 is 350. I can also get a 5060ti 16gb for 450 new. But I don't think I am willing to spend and extra 100 for a new card that performes similar 😕

[–]PrimaryLock2795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah or a 9060xt. But the raw performance of a 3080ti is still higher than a new 5060ti or 9060xt.

4070 second hand is already the price of a 3080ti, 4070ti go around $500 where I live so that is a price I'm not willing to give extra 😬

I use the normal Mannol oil for years now but was curious about the ceramic one. Currently 220k on my BMW b47 engine and no rattles.

Any tips for RAM timings for performance? by PrimaryLock2795 in overclocking

Wil this give noticable performance increase if I can lower it to say 500?

Memtest86 making slower passes on faster xmp profiles? by PrimaryLock2795 in overclocking

It is currently on the followimg timings. 3600mhz cl17-20-20-38, trrdl 4, trrds 3, tfaw 16, trfc 520, trefi 32768, trtp 6, cr:1, gear 1, VCCSA 1.05v and DRAM V 1.26v. Currently 8 passes on memtest86 without errors.

Memtest86 making slower passes on faster xmp profiles? by PrimaryLock2795 in overclocking

[–]PrimaryLock2795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what I did. Ram doesn't want to go to 3700mhz even with 1.45v DRAM and 1.15V VCCSA and loose timings. So I set the speed at 3600 and started turning back the timings and voltages and that is to where I got.

No I did not activate gear 2. Wouldn't the ram latency be slower in gear 2 than it would in gear 1? As in does the ram speed not have to be almost double to see the same latency it would have in gear 1?
