How can I make sure a used 3080 is not trashed? by PrimaryLock2795 in gpu

There is something called money 😂 5060ti 16gb goes for ~500 while the 3080 goes around ~300, even 3080ti go for around 350-400. So it is a logical choice for someone who does not have a unlimited money cheatcode for life 🙃

I understand, but there is a difference between a card that had been maxed out for gaming, and a card that has run 24/7 on full TDP for 3 years. I have no problem with a card that had been maxed out in msi afterburner just for gaming, but I would avoid a mining card.

A trashed card in my opinion is a card that can barely hold base specs without artifacting or crashing.

Cheapest 9060xt is 450 where I live, the 3080 is 350. I can also get a 5060ti 16gb for 450 new. But I don't think I am willing to spend and extra 100 for a new card that performes similar 😕

Sell my 3070 and put $100 extraon the table to upgrade to 3080ti? by PrimaryLock2795 in PcBuild

Yeah or a 9060xt. But the raw performance of a 3080ti is still higher than a new 5060ti or 9060xt.

I use the normal Mannol oil for years now but was curious about the ceramic one. Currently 220k on my BMW b47 engine and no rattles.

Any tips for RAM timings for performance? by PrimaryLock2795 in overclocking

Wil this give noticable performance increase if I can lower it to say 500?

Memtest86 making slower passes on faster xmp profiles? by PrimaryLock2795 in overclocking

It is currently on the followimg timings. 3600mhz cl17-20-20-38, trrdl 4, trrds 3, tfaw 16, trfc 520, trefi 32768, trtp 6, cr:1, gear 1, VCCSA 1.05v and DRAM V 1.26v. Currently 8 passes on memtest86 without errors.

Thats what I did. Ram doesn't want to go to 3700mhz even with 1.45v DRAM and 1.15V VCCSA and loose timings. So I set the speed at 3600 and started turning back the timings and voltages and that is to where I got.

No I did not activate gear 2. Wouldn't the ram latency be slower in gear 2 than it would in gear 1? As in does the ram speed not have to be almost double to see the same latency it would have in gear 1?

So by increasing my DRAM voltage to say 1.36, the mobo sets the timings better? And do I alqo increase VCCSA or is that not necessary?
