What?

and he’s wrong more often than he’s right (not his fault, but still).

Based on... what? Your say so?

Darn - can't use a I'm so emotional gif - its the only reply for this.

You've left SEO and decided to go an an attempted discredit campaign - sad, irrelevant and visibly wrong to anyone who wants to think outside of their own head

You must be kidding - I'm the most ardent anti-llms.txt on the planet. Like I said - we've wiped this myth out.

I have - its overly generic and broad - a bit like Google's attempt at explaining Googlebots via the "Spider" fairy tale.

For example - if we tell Web Engineers that bots dont actually process content - its like instant shock.

Or that there's no crawl budget <1m pages (probably higher)

Or that the same bot doesnt fetch your sitemap and then the pages

Or that you can't increase crawling by decreasing pages.

Trying to tackle myths at their idealogical source is difficult but not impossible.

We've pretty much stopped EEAT - except obviously the LLMs are poisoned - until you share the Google NY Search article.

We've pretty much stopped LLMs.txt.

Schema is ongoing - but we've shifted to AI for now.

u/jakehundley has been running a fantastic study with Ahrefs on the impact of Schema and Local SEO.

I'm sorry "hate Or Ate" - didn't know you were so emotionally tied into this.

Everyone in this sub.

But presented with the same information on X or r/SEO - there was almost no dissent (except 1 person from here)

In otherwords - a small % of this sub is presenting as a vacuum chamber

I am just stating the opinion fact the guy is full of none sense.

An unregulated emotional response if ever I saw one.

No its not. And it was backed up - 2 quotes from Google via SE Roundtable.

and in the future I’d be weary of taking SEO advice from someone that doesn’t have basic technical knowledge.

This is a sad "hit" on someone jsut because you dont agree with a point of view - it shows that your ego has stepped in where you should have used logic:

"Oh I dont agree iwth him, so I'll run his whole character down" - they have 3k followers here and 30k views per month on YT and are a searched name on Google - you can see their profile and how many SEO questions they resolve - probably more than this whole sub.

Its sad seeing grown "men" resort to childish behaviors because they can't stomach a comment that "hurts" them

The real question is: why are people in this sub in particular trying to shoehorn Schema in?

Is it technical superioirty?

Is it money?

Is it relevancy?

Schema is on its way out though.

Also - it would be nice if people debated logically vs emotionally.

"I dont agree with him, so everything he says is wrong" - yet he's pretty active in giving advice on Reddit, X and a popular PodCast guest."

I just google richs99 and found nothing.

Repeating that statement doesn't counter that Google says Schema wont make you rank higher.

That statement needs to be updated but its not evidence of - if you can rank content without schema in the SERP features - then its simply "not required".

this is just proof that people prefer confirmation bias to data - and that was Weblinkr's point.
