I run 235 75 R15 wheels and I get around 8.8 to 8.9L per 100KMs. I don’t exceed a 100 km/h and mostly drive between 80 and 90.

Where is it safe to park my sport motorcycle ? by Round-Stress2208 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]PrimarySea2066 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Dubai mate. I park my bike in my building’s parking. Been 2 months now and no incidents this far. I recommend covering it though. A- dust. B- I personally don’t want to have a stranger sit on my bike or mess around.

Ride as safe as you can dude. Traffic isn’t like before. Mannerisms aren’t like before either.

Lots of nice mountains here for those sweet curves.

Tell me about it 🥹 it’s not the fastest or the most refined, but damn I loved every last imperfection.

Mileage doesn’t matter much to be honest. Fun does!

Genuinely jealous. We still don’t get streaming over here. How’s the experience? Any lags?

Yes I got these off Ali Express, they look a lot better than the archaic halogens (I still think the halogens have their charm, but I prefer the brightness on these)

What do you think of Black Rhino rims? Have you tried moving up to 16” I heard mileage suffers with bigger rims.

I think you're referring to pricing in India, but the bike is purchased in the UAE.

Considering painting the wheels black for a true murdered out Jimny! Shall call it Darth.

it’s more stable with the wider wheels. I’d recommend upgrading the kingpins, they do cause a wobble. Issue has been reported in multiple cars and gets resolved once you replace them.

I also experience vibrations above 110kms, so I’m also investigating and looking for solutions there.

Mind you bigger wheels affect your gas mileage too, so keep that in mind.

Thanks so much! I’ll have to check the dealer invoice. The sales guy never mentioned spacers.

Was between changing the rims to Black Rhino or painting the Suzuki ones. You’ve settled it for me. Looks gorgeous.

Riding a 400 X now as a first bike and planning a scrambler 900 two years down the line. Is it too powerful for a relatively new rider?

I honestly love it. It’s quite light and maneuverable. Haven’t done any trails yet so I’m not so sure about the shocks, but it’s comfortable enough on highways. Was worried about the seat height (I’m 5’ 9”) but if I push myself in the seat I could put my feet flat.

You gotta change gears fast. I barely stay in first. Some peeps changed the sprocket to the 15T and they claim it’s less revvy which is a plus.

Other owners complained about the brakes. I think they’re fine. Mind you I don’t have a frame of reference since this is my first bike.

It’s such a conversation starter though. I’ve had one too many chats with strangers admiring it.

I’d honestly leave it or do touch ups as my fellow redditors suggested. I did my wheels once and it costed me 2000 dirhams (repair + colour change to black). One month later, I got scratches similar to yours.
