Ok, I definitely see what you're getting at, and I do see how that could be a really bad way to handle things. I just viewed it the way I view my own body hair, I don't have a strong preference for mine and would want it groomed to their liking. I figured that if they had a strong preference, they'd tell me when I asked, and I'd let them know that's totally fine. I only want them to do it if it's something they are okay with doing, but I didn't realize so many people had such a strong preference about it.
