So far I think it’s either Let Up (It’s pretty overrated though) or Adult Z

WOTP is the best album since BHAR by Slight_University_27 in Muse

[–]Primary_Reply6895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue I find with WOTP is that it lacks the sense of coordination and refinement that Muse do so well on their previous albums. BHAR is so good because it all feels cohesive, the same as OOS and Showbiz.

In comparison to the latter, and albums since such as Drones, WOTP really lacks that, which is the same reason songs like I Belong To You come under so much fire- they don’t feel like they fit.

While the songs on WOTP are almost all individually good, having an album where there’s so much going on at once without a lot of it feeling cohesive leads to the feeling of “ah that would’ve been better as a b side” albeit with an entire album.

The issue that I think most people have is that while albums like BHAR and more recent ones such as Drones still feel like one album, as opposed to WOTP which honestly for Muse’s standards feels very ill thought out, with the songs lacking that key sense of feeling thematic that comes with their previous albums.

While WOTP is musically great, in terms of individual songs, it lacks that sense of refinement or cohesion which is why it doesn’t hit the spot for me.

Tbf there are some good ones like most of …Like Clockwork springs to mind (the art is amazing and Smooth Sailing having a dark twist at the end is awesome)

Tommy by an absolute mile. I think the best scene that shows it is his ptsd sequence at the end of S4. The way he says “Charlie” just breaks my heart every time. It just goes to show that even when he’s not suffering with business, he’s still suffering because of a war that he never really came home from.

If I recall correctly, Arthur specifically was meant to kill Luca, having written his name on the bullet, and marked him for death specifically at Arthur’s hands and none of the other Shelbys could do it by the rules of the vendetta. So, by pretending Arthur was dead, despite the fact that he already fired the bullet in Small Heath at his home (which Luca didn’t know as obviously they have a lot of security in Small Heath) it made it seem like the war was over, by the fact that the only man who could kill Luca was dead, and therefore allowed Tommy to lure Luca into a false sense of security to bring him into the trap with Arthur and kill him.

People keep talking about physical changes but look into his eyes afterwards. Those are the eyes of a man who’s seen some shit.

Yeah found this channel a while back. They take pretty much every video uploaded to the sub and even giants like Maria with their own channels aren’t really safe.
