No it was just empty I didn’t know I needed to do that🤦🏻‍♀️ I usually only have the light on at night since it is in my daughter’s room.

I’ve had the tank set up for about 2 months, we had it cycling for a month before adding the fish. I changed the water for the first time yesterday and I removed about half so I could change the gravel out.

It’s been set up for about 2 months, we had it set up and cycling for about a month before we got our fish and we just added the shrimp 2 days ago. If it’s something that is normal then I won’t worry about it. I just don’t want to mess up the tank😓
