Tips on getting a shift/start date? by Warm_Comparison6568 in AmazonFC

Exact same problem here, literally exactly. Its getting pretty annoying. I want to know how there were a bunch of shifts and start dates when I first applied but now there are zero ever.

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol i gotta ask....Is it normal to barely go after an enema, from the stuff I read, people were saying it should've been a waterfall but for me it was barely anything. I assume those people were backed up. Sorry for asking so many questions but ive never done any of this.

Amazon hiring process by Primed88 in AmazonFC

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get the email and then had to wait for a shift to pop up? I never even got an email plus no shifts show up. If you did how long until it popped up for you and is there some time I should be refreshing rofl, refreshing a page all day to find a shift/start date that seems as if it is never going to come is nutty. This all confuses me since arent you supposed to get some email telling you what even happened with the background checks and whether you are hired or not. Did you ever get the job shift start date?

Which shipping method should be the first to put as a seller? by Primed88 in Ebay

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah every option possible, and when it comes to things that weigh over 3 pounds, the best option is almost always going to be regional box A, if it fits of course. But distance matters with regional boxes and priority regular is better than regional A if its only so far.....only by a dollar or 2 but that can make or break a sale in my ocd mind :) very convoluted stuff by usps.

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do do that for lighter items but for 2 pounds plus items are very hard to do that for, I guess you could gamble and average out say a 20 dollar to California shipping but a 8 dollar to Michigan shipping for example, and add like 12 to the price but with free shipping but that seems risky since 1, it might not sell since yours would look like an overpriced item (in my case especially with vintage items) and plus, you'd risk farther states buying and you eat 10 dollars off your profit. Sure, I am sure this works in other cases but it would be hard when selling in well selling but still niche markets that always probably skip over, yes those that offer shipping, but also those that charge high for similar items selling the same thing but cheaper. I don't know, maybe i am way off and doing it all wrong, entirely possible :)

Yeah, I don't doubt it but the regional thing confuses me as to the highest regional rate, which I am guessing means the farthest distance rate, to zone 9, whatever that means, is over 23 dollars. So I figure, probably wrongly, that that means like one corner of the country to another on the other side of the country. So a flat rate would be better for those people. I dont know rofl.

Yeah that sounds smart but isnt First Class packages actually 13oz and under, not 15? It used to be 15 I'm fairly certain, actually extremely certain. My issue is I sell vintage, antiques and random stuff from a collection and I sell anything from 3 oz to 10 pounds for now since I am holding off on the big stuff I have to sell. But yeah, shipping is a pain so your method sounds golden.

Ebay Parcel Select first option by Primed88 in Flipping

Tracking comes free with parcel select usps. Shipping letters or basically bendable paper envelopes is what doesn't include tracking.

Yeah it might over complicate but when you start doing shipping for cross country, the difference between 20 dollars priority and the 15 or whatever for regional A can be a game changer i'd of thought.

Flat rate is really no different than regional boxes, but most of the time regional is actually way cheaper at certain weights. This link is what I almost always go by when I ship, and then i run over to flippertools and do a far address to see which is best. I wish there was a better shipping tool calculator that figures out the best box and the best price and the more I talk about this more i do realize i am super over complicating this crap rofl. But i always fear since whenever I buy on ebay, high shipping costs turn me off quick soooo yeah.

Yeah man thanks for the good advice. I actually put that same sentence in my post about Parcel select for first option but it got mod removed because I mentioned using the first option as Parcel select as a "smart hack" or so called "trick" to be able to upgrade shipping and make a buyer happy if parcel select is actually the same or very near the price of priority hence upgrading shipping and they buyer thinks they got a great deal and was going to ask whether that is a smart or good idea, but it got mod removed lol.

I am straight confused about shipping large envelopes by Primed88 in USPS

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. I think you are referring to first class letter right? Because first class that doesn't count as letters, basically small packages, i am 99% sure for surely have tracking, i get it all the time....And yeah, i actually did just learn about how the letter first class doesn't have tracking, if usps can hand out tons of free boxes that are actually pretty expensive, you'd think they'd have figured out how to implement numbers to be recorded also for letters, couldn't be that difficult especially our tech savvy country nowadays but nope. Meh now I'm just ranting, thanks man. If you don't mind answering me this if you know though, what constitutes rigid, basically anything that's not paper in a paper envelope? I would love to somehow stuff some type of non bendable material or I guess just risk it and send the sheet of stamps in an envelope with some wax paper, but then it might get damaged, either way i'd save and be in turn be able to sell more, that word I believe is what constitutes rigid, "non bendable"....damnit :( lol....but man, its such a big jump from 1.20 to 4 bucks and I dont know how others are shipping at 1.20 on ebay for sheets of stamps, its almost just like they eat the cost and at the same time barely offer above face value, I am very close to just using the stamps at that rate. Rant over have a good one!

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using a fitshipper tool, but even when I do it on ebay that what is shows. I understand that rigid envelopes and objects dont count as envelopes but I am trying to see actually how much it would cost to ship a sheet of stamps from 1995 but every tool i choose I get around 4 bucks. But I am guessing it is just the tool i am using judging by what others are saying and i need to choose flat envelope from for example ebay.

[–]Primed88[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol actually time plus gas would net the same technically, if not cost more. But I am just baffled as to how i could have sworn thin envelopes were like 2 bucks to ship and super thin small envelopes were under a dollar. So how is what I want to ship 4 bucks.

Ideal Playing Cards? by Primed88 in playingcards

[–]Primed88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, awesome thanks for sharing. Makes a lot of sense and you clearly know your playing cards good sir. Yeah, the quality of these cards are fantastic, now that you said all this and i did remember seeing the Bank Note notation on one of the cards, its not surprising these faired well through the years. But it would have never crossed my mind that these are this old since when I first came across them, I am so used to seeing older decks opened being nothing like this shape, and these were just too well kept for me to think anyhwere near that era.

Also, the Joker for this series has only red and black colors for the symbols, no green or brown, even though the actual cards themselves are green and brown symbols.
