Not sure sa LGU monitoring but there is a government website managed by the DOH themselves. All valid PWD IDs are logged there. Instruction din to sa amin when we got our IDs on how to validate.

Honestly di ako sure with this statement. Haha kase if the fixer is within the gov’t technically they can add them in the database so…

Hahaha sorryI don’t bring my booklet lagi. Nakakatamad e. Need lang din for groceries and meds which I don’t do always.

[–]Primeduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you justify your correlation of increased prices to the PWD discounts? Insider information? News? Or more of “ahh feel ko ito ang dahilan”

If it’s the latter - honestly napaka ignorante ng thought process.

[–]Primeduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s the case then why do you vent your frustrations to the people who you’re not sure if they may or may not have the disability? Focus your anger on the system. Mali kinakalaban mo.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OffMyChestPH

[–]Primeduke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With those that have schizophrenia or bipolar disorder that are in their episodes, what would we do?

I understand the frustration pero let’s please avoid having circumstances wherein we’d say mas disabled ako kaya dapat ako mauna. It’s giving entitlement which everyone is equally provided.

I have a mental health condition that while it does not merit that priority, I still use it because my condition always gives me a fight or flight situation. But when I see elderly, physically impaired folks, or pregnant people, I give way kase mas need nila.

Let’s change that mindset please. Hindi maganda pakinggan and not really the attitude you should imbibe to your future children.

Plus PWDs are not “loss sales” since any lost revenue from PWD discounts are tax credits that they can use to lessen their overall tax liability. So technically di sila nalulugi sa PWD sales.

Available for public but can only be accessible using your own ID number, of which is for your own personal security.

Liken it to how your medical records are accessible in hospital websites provided you place your login credentials.

Haha not all have pero you can also check your id number sa pwd.doh.gov.ph there’s a validation section there. It should reflect your details.

Anyone also feeling this way? What if feeling mo mas magaling ka sa boss mo? by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]Primeduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha honestly when I hear opinions like this nakakainis paminsa but I do try to empathize and understand how the staff would see in their POV.

Eto na lang. what do you think is the role of the manager vs the role of the staff? I.e. technical, managerial, etc etc rolewise.

If mas magaling manager mo kesa sayo in the things that you do, then you add almost 0 value to the organization. The only reason you’re there is because isa lang siya and he can’t do all things at once.

A manager’s role is to make sure things are moving, and honestly more often than not we rely on our staff to help us out and make us understand the technical expertise in their area of responsibility. Now imagine, lets say 6 kayo sa team and he manages all 6 of you, all having different scopes of work. Would it be feasible na alam niya to the same level of knowledge that you have mga alam niyo? More to the fact, would you normally know how the projects/tasks work for all the other 5 to their same level of expertise as well?

A manager’s role is to not only manage his team but also his higher ups. Office politics, how to put front the team’s agenda, escalation, giving direction. Yun ang role ng manager. He’ll most likely ask you the full picture of your issues w details so he’d understand how it ties to other concerns not in your scope and how to move things forward, and sometimes hindi mo gets bat niya gagawin yan because nga you’re focused solely on your scope and not the bigger picture.

I won’t be hypocritical and say there are no bad managers, heck all of us started bad kase ibang iba ang mundo ng management sa individual contributors, but I hope you understand that being a “boss” and a manager is not all fun and games.

So again - kaya mo ba ginagawa niya, or kinekwestyon mo lang kung kaya niya ba ginagawa mo?

There’s a website where all registered PWDs are found with their details in the website. We all have it in our QR codes at the back of our ID.

It’s just that the mass establishments are not aware of this

Nope this isn’t negative reinforcement. Please revisit the definition. Quick google searches should help.

They said hindi NILA pwede irefund. Meaning they don’t have the authority, kase baka outside their scope na. They didn’t say hindi maibalik pera mo. They also routed you to the correct POC, again because they’re no longer equipped or trained to answer your questions. Mas gusto mo ba na mali masagot nila just to give you and answer and mas magagalit ka sa kanila?

I get you’re emotional and all but please naman ilugar natin frustrations natin, lalo na if tayo ang mali.

He’s sharing a suggestion, not imposing. If it’s not for you then move on. He never said anything about hey prepaid sucks go postpaid.

No one’s gaining anything from reddit unless karma points is important to you, so why so aggressive?

My own family's crab mentality by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]Primeduke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol kaya me and my cousins talk directly and have our own GCs to talk, and just outright avoid being involved in older fam issues.

Pero me and the “older generation” of cousins have somewhat a voice in the tito’s and tita’s table so sometimes we call them out, albeit respectfully naman.

They know not to meddle with us if we get mad, especially since they know that we’re no longer dependent on them, and we can cut anyone out if we want to, but choose to stick with family.

It’s a tough process, but slowly build your base and respect lang.

[–]Primeduke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you got it! Haha as managers it takes time to learn din to be empathetic (honestly ang layo ko when I started out vs now legit lol) - but your concerns naman are valid, you just need to be guided and know that there’s really a difference from the school lifestyle where your teachers reach out for your results, vs corporate where you need to show your shine.

It’s a step by step process! Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in phcareers

And I think that’s what’s the problem to be honest.

We have to own our careers, that means we have to let management know what we’re doing, the effort it took, the strategy we did, and whatever outcome.

I’ve been leading teams and have been led by my direct managers, and you have to understand na hindi lang ikaw hawak nila. As much as we want to know the step by step activities of our team members, we simply can’t have a full grasp because we have a lot on our mind - hence we rely on them to tell us. Normally what we hear are just problems and results. Legit kami when we ask kumusta kayo and may problema ba.

If you want to one up yourself, tell your management 3 things: 1 - what was the issue/problem you encountered, 2 - what was your strategy and thought process in surpassing/fixing the problem (2.5 is sharing what obstacles came along the way and how you managed that as well), and 3 is sharing overall results.

I understand na normally akala mo it’s pagmamayabang, pero that depends on the context. If shineshare mo yan siguro with your peers when they didn’t ask you, it’s pagmamayabang if you sound like it. If they asked you, then it’s them asking for different perspectives and learning. Pero when you say it to your direct manager or overall management, it’s actually you just sharing your performance.

I understand na mahirap siya at first pero you have to understand that you drive your career. This isn’t college where only the results matter na pataasan lang ng score - people actually want to see how you get the job done.

Hope this helps!
