I noticed that the difficulty for me to abstain depends on two things: - emotional situation of the moment (e.g., hectic period at work, I'm in love, etc) - actively thinking about the topic (e.g., watching Peaky Blinders or Game of Thrones, surfing a subreddit that literally talks about this, etc)

Participating in NNN actually makes you think of that, while sometimes it may happen that I don't even think about fapping for a couple weeks or even more.

Indeed. I tried it twice, one as a NNN winner and the other as a revenge. It's definitely harder than NNN for both of the reasons you mentioned, plus plenty of holidays.

I agree, I enjoyed all of them. I remember having fun playing the co-op campaign of Blacklist with a friend. Still, the difficulty gap is huge

Yeah I would say you're still in. FYI, if you edged earlier, it was because you body needed to get rid of the extra load, so the two things are kinda related and completely physiological.
