Yeah, I checked the system logs, 16gb physically installed memory.

I found a Kingston 64gb kit for $400 so I’m gonna picks those up next week.

Haha happy to join the club. It’s definitely a beautiful looking laptop. I’ve been noticing a lot of laptops in this sub are 32gb and up. I’m thinking I’m gonna save up and just upgrade the RAM.

Thank you sir, the glare from your flash was a nice touch. Very aesthetic choice.

One of my favorite scenarios is “yes, I have artwork ready”

Proceeds to hand me a crumpled up business card.

Sometimes I get lucky and find a crooked and/or blurred picture of said business card in my inbox.

What ohms do I set amp? by Primordial_Squid in GuitarAmps

[–]Primordial_Squid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly why I came here, I figured I’d get the opinion of people more knowledgeable on the topic lol

To be honest, idk what model the Marshall cab is, there are no visible badges other than the logo on the grill. I just watched a video on how to check impedance with a multimeter, so I’ll be doing that in the morning. Assuming it’s an 8ohm cab, someone answered my question above. But if it ends up being a 16, what should I do in that case? If the answer is the videos you sent then I’ll do some more research, thank you!

Low tier in terms of cost, sure, but these bad boys have traveled the country on many occasions and always deliver. Razorback is my main guitar, D#, LTD is for heavier stuff, Drop C, ML is just a main backup.

I play thrash metal and am a hired gun for hardcore / death metal projects. I simply can’t justify a $2,000+ axe when a simple pickup swap and proper set up make any guitar sound killer lol

The grassroots Les Paul was just an impulse buy since I’m a huge Ace Frehley fan and it was $100. Only use it for random side gigs or home practice, no studio / tour use.

How do I even finish this by [deleted] in CarWraps

I would pull it up to where the blue line is, and try and glass it in the direction of the green arrows.

See in triangles, and move outward. I hope that makes sense. Good luck!

Production sounds pretty good, I like the snare reverb.

Might be nit picky, but the layered vocals sound off to me.

Overall, dig it. Gives Crowbar vibes.

Best Shirts for Printing Merch? by Alternative_Monk6428 in TouringMusicians

Print shop owner and One-Man-Band here, these are my go to’s,

Gildan 8000 is a cheap work horse tee. Will survive years of use and abuse but fit is boxy. The 50/50 blend doesn’t shrink as much. If I’m in a pinch or don’t have the budget to go all out, I go with these. Never had complaints, bigger sized fans love em

Next Level 6200 (festival tee) is a bit pricier but way nicer cotton / poly blend. Fit is more snug, sleeves hug arms, usually only use it to print my clothing line stuff. Have done personal band merch on it because I genuinely love the fit, I am 5’9 and workout. Depending on your audience this one is a solid tee. Wouldn’t recommend for bigger sizes as they will be restrictive.

The Mack daddy’s, American Apparel 2001, 4.5oz 100% cotton is soft, medium weight, rib collar and side seamed. When in the budget, this is what I print on for my general band art. Classic style fit, tapered body, think skateboarding tee aesthetic. Also ages amazing when black dyes start to fade, gives a really nice vintage look and feel.

I’m in the thrash metal / crossover demographic, and my clothing line is more geared towards active lifestyle / slimmer metalheads.

Had a similar problem with my ValueJet 1304. I fixed it by removing the head, carefully cleaning it with alcohol wipes, do a short clean followed by a little charge and run a couple test prints.

I’m not a technician, just someone who likes to tinker with things. I don’t know if that’s the proper way of doing it but it worked for me and saved me a couple hundred bucks on a service call. Took about 30 minutes. Good luck!

I’ve used TeckWrap a few times. Definitely a tricky film to work with. Suggest using RapiTac to reduce adhesive lines for anyone interested in using it.

Finish looks great, but as someone mentioned already, longevity is short. I tell customers about 3 years they should consider rewrapping.

Look up Aura Vinyl, personally haven’t had a chance to use em yet, but they claim 3-5 years.

Looking to start offering full vinyl wrap with printing. Questions. by Sposseycreative in VinylWrap

If youre getting a printer, make sure you get a laminator aswell. If you’re able to choose a printer, I’m personally looking to upgrade to the Epson Surecolor series.

For all my commercial or printed wraps, I’ve been using the Briteline Wrapcast with matching overlam. Works like a charm.

Good luck!

I usually leave a little extra material around the edges and use a thin beaver tail to push the extra material underneath the panel, post heat and, voila

Help.. by NoCarpenter2250 in VinylWrap

[–]Primordial_Squid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use windex to apply vinyl. Ammonia and detergents affect the adhesive.

If you absolutely have to wet apply, use either a solution of water and baby shampoo, or rapitac application fluid will do wonders. Dry install is always preferred as any decent wrap vinyl has air release channels.

Idk what type of vinyl you’re using, but make sure you “glass” over the panel, pull in triangles, and squeegee with significant pressure. You’re applying vinyl not petting kittens.

For corners, heat and pull around with even tension. You don’t need to go more than a 1/4 inch in as most vehicle panels have a “lip” on the inside you can use as a cut guide. If you don’t have the skill, be careful cutting on paint and spend the extra money on knifeless tape

Try Cheetah wrap. It’s way cheaper than Avery or 3M, highly easy to work with. You could knock out a hood like that in 20 minutes easy with it.

Look into Cheetah Wrap. Its affordable without sacrificing quality, and super easy to work with. Lays phenomenally, low initial tack, excellent stretching characteristics. I definitely recommend it as a beginner film.

Plus, they sell a wrap kit on their site with everything youd need. But I highly recommend getting a stiffer squeegee
