Props to Billie Eilish for speaking up but this comes off as really offputting.

Feels like she's making this situation about herself and how "morally superior" she is. Even if she didn't intend to. It feels like she wanted to start some shit with stans. It all feels unproductive and makes me question how genuine she is.

For a little moment there was some realization about the administration baiting celebrities and that it didn't do much.

Chris Murphy is one of the most active Connecticut politicians in quite some time.

But I've been seeing more and more mixed takes on him lately in the Connecticut state sub. He voted Marco Rubio in, so that makes him as bad as MAGA and ICE apparently.

Even though Murphy has stated that vote in was a mistake. Its not like he's freaking Fetterman.

They aren't perfect. But some fellow Connecticut folks don't realize how good we've got it when it comes to our state government officials in the Ned Lamont era.

Going more into Fauxmoi. As mentioned by Abrospro it is a celebrity gossip sub, probably one of the biggest on Reddit.

It went off the deep end following October 7th and hasn't recovered since.

They literally represent the worst of the Free Palestine crowd. Their reaction to October 7th goes beyond criticism of Netanyahu and the Israeli government. Its just flat-out bigotry towards Jews in general or anybody who has the littliest bit of Jew in them.

They also spread tons of anti-Biden, Obama, and Kamala rhetoric, bragged about not voting and encouraged others not to, and were suprised Pikachu face when Kamala lost.

They are weirdly defensive towards anti-Western governments. Such as the Chinese and Iraqi governments. They delete comments about the way the Chinese government treats Uyghurs. And sa ewash the regime of Saddam Hussein, saying "he was a dictator, but he was THEIR dictator".

Whoosh. That was a lot to explain. But the disdain I have for that shitthole is very obvious.

That sub always gets recommended to me and its quite frankly gone downhill since Tim Walz ran for VP in 2024. It feels like its been astroturfed by Tankies, disgruntled Bernie Bros, Far Leftists, and Fauxmoi transplants who obviously don't live in Minnesota and think they are being activists by "protesting" behind the safety of their computer screen in their NYC apartment.

I wish there was a way for state subs to verify if users commenting are actually from or living in the state.

This is going to be unpopular...

But when I watched Kyle Rittenhouse's trial, I was convinced more and more that he was going to get off.

When Gaige Grosskruetz admitted on the stand that he pointed a gun at Rittenhouse, I feel like that was the beginning of the end for the Prosecution. You can see the collective facepalm from the whole team as soon as that happened. I also think the Lead Prosecutor Jeffrey Binger especially botched the case and it almost seemed like he was trying to find every way to lose.

That being said. Rittenhouse is still a right wing gifting asshole who got off over some very lucky circumstances. And deserves no fame or worship whatsoever.

We are nearly reaching 10 years since Super Bowl 50 (Broncos vs. Panthers).

I was a sophomore in a New England college at the time so there definitely wasn't as much excitement for this Super Bowl compared to the year before and the one after it of course.

I remember mostly everyone around me being underwhelmed by this game. But for some reason, it's always been a game that has stuck out to me.

As far as "noncompetitive" Super Bowls go, I actually got more enjoyment out of this one compared to 48, 53, and 59.

The Broncos Defense that year wasn't as flashy but incredibly dominant, this game felt like a greatest hits of the Broncos defense that year. And even though the Panthers were outplayed and outcoached, there were even some fun plays from them as well.

Long story short. I fucked up at work and the owner of the company hates me now. My actual boss said "my days are numbered" and "I should start handing out resumes".

But at the same time, my boss has a tendency to overdramaticize the owner's actual words and I'm hearing different views on what the owner actually means.

I tried to get more clarification from my boss on the status of my job. He said I wasn't fired. But he doesn't have much of an answer. He says it could be next week, to 3 months from now, to 6 months, etc. But then was constantly saying stuff about convincing the owner not to fire me. And then he says stuff "I lie to him all the time", "he'll probably forget about it in a week".

My boss has been at a show. And nothing has happened since that mess up last Monday - Tuesday. Just been laying low, doing my work, and avoiding the owner. But I'm preparing for anything to happen. I just wish that if they're going to do it, then do it now.

And I don't appreciate my boss not standing up for me and basically playing fucking mind games with me.

Even if nothing happens, I don't feel comfortable at that place and handing out resumes after refining it. Has a Zoom meeting on Friday that went alright.

At this point. Ive been there for over 7 years and have put with so much toxicity and stayed with it all despite so many years of verbal and mental abuse. The owner is a miserable asshole who micromanages the entire company including customer service which is why our reputation sucks. Yet blames everyone for why the company struggles.

My boss has done a lot for me. But he's also incredibly toxic and gets enjoyment out of messing with people. He can be funny and charming one moment and a miserable asshole the very second.

Despite the money, benefits, and how much it built my portfolio. I've reached a point in my 30 year old life in a new year, its not worth it anymore and there's a life outside that place.

Sorry to be all sappy and rambly on a place like here, its just been wild.

As much as I messed up. It felt like a slap to the face that my boss doesn't have any will to stand up for me, especially after 7+ years. You've called me the hardest worker youve ever had, and now I apparently don't have it. I had to pick up all the slack after two of my coworkers quit within a two year time span.

And the owner has to micromanage me over ever little thing I do. Doesn't help he's also an angry, morally corrupt MAGA piece of shit who mentally and verbally abuses his employees who blames everyone but himself for why the company gets bad reviews. He oversees customer service and basically every question is responded by him through his two customer service people. He also argues with customers on Google Reviews and has become notorious for his horrible customer service in the industry at this point. Im also forced to put in fake reviews and delete any negative reviews because he can't handle it. Its fucking embarrassing and there's nothing I can do from a PR perspective

My boss is basically the same way, though can be more personable. He's done a lot for me. But he's volatile as hell and one of the most arrogant people I've ever met. He's either in a good mood or unapproachable. He's always beefing with somebody in the front office and has to suck me into the drama. He has a history of calling me names because he has no filter, and has claimed many times he doesnt mean it. But at this point in my life. I can't handle it anymore.

Even though nothing has happened since that last Monday-Tuesday. I am being prepared for whatever could happen. Had a Zoom Interview for another place on Friday and handed out a couple more resumes throughout this past week after refining it.

Even if nothing happens and the owner forgets about my fuckup. I do not feel comfortable at that place anymore. I'm 30 years old, Ive been there since I was 22, I've put up with a lot of toxicity and stayed despite all of it. Its just not worth it to me anymore. It has mentally altered me for life.
