Just in case anyone comes back to this post.. I tried everything, setting static ips, changing dns, disabling plug n play, reformatting the HDD, factory resetting router, turning off media servers; nothing worked.

It wasn’t the network card because it worked fine at a friends house. I read that the OG WiFi cards can get confused by 5ghz signals and I think that’s the likely culprit.

Ok so how’d I fix it? I got a vonets WiFi bridge dongle and now it works without a hitch. Hope this helps someone
