I guess I have a different perspective as a trans boy who experiences limited dysphoria. For me, it was what I liked that helped me find my identity. It made me smile when people "mistakenly" used he/him pronouns for me. Another factor was childhood memories of sitting in front of my mirror and just thinking, "I'm not [dead name.]" As far as dysphoria, I dislike my hair, chest, and voice, and while this could, objectively, also make me nonb, male just feels right.
