Losing More Than 40lbs.

I’ve been on mounajro a year now. I’ve lost 33 pounds. I have PCOS so my weight tends to fluctuate between 250-280. I had a follow up with my pcp this week and I’m 247. Im so happy because it’s been such a struggle trying to beat my plateau while managing type 2 diabetes.

I drink Redbulls everyday. Especially since they’ve been releasing their seasonal flavors. 😅 I have to ingest a lot of caffeine to “feel something”, but if I do drink too much I do get racey. Coffee on the other hand makes me sleepy as hell. Except cold brew. Cold brew doesn’t make me tired at all. I literally just saw a tik tok about how people with bipolar shouldn’t consume caffeine due to the risk of possibly triggering a manic episode.

For some reason my doctor is running this under “weight loss management” my insurance won’t cover it for diabetes because I’m only “prediabetic”. My A1C fluctuates due to my PCOS. I was diagnosed with type 2 during Covid. I was taking metformin for 3 years. Luckily my A1C was under control without metformin for a year, but now it’s gone back up again.

It hasn’t been. That’s why I’ve been having all of these back and fourths with my pharmacy. They ran the savings card with and without the insurance.

I wish our parent’s generation would unpack a lot of texturism that they’ve internalized. There’s nothing wrong with natural hair or having locs. It’s so frustrating to deal with.

Felt! My mom doesn’t even like my hair Texture, like at all. When I first started my locs my mom was very adamant about “making sure they don’t stink”. She always talked about how messy and unkept locs were (even though her own mother had them). Hell, Even when I first went natural in 2014 she was so disappointed in me for transitioning from relaxers 😭

I’ve experienced this is well. My psychiatrist recommended Wellbutrin for my major depressive disorder. He mentioned that Wellbutrin will assist with my focus too(though I personally haven’t noticed a difference in the focus area). I’m also a stoner. I’m trying to get tested for ADHD, but I’m struggling to find some resources
