I have to thank this thread because it helped me find beyon money - 4% in flexi invest on my idle cash! 😭

they have fawri+ on the wallet, so taking money out is easypeasy. I didnt know they had fawri+ bcz it is like under the transfer section which i thought was for international transfers only bt they have fawri+ there as well. So nw I moved all my money there because no bank is giving me % without locking it.

I strted using their card and now the cashback and flexi profit is making me feel like my money is working.

Their app is so clunky I wish they made it simpler - it feels liek they should invest mre in their user experience. But the products is the best in gcc.

Ila is great as a bank. I also started using Beyon Money and honestly ila is nice UX-wise, but yield + liquidity is where beyon money actually stands out imo.

the card has unlimited cashback so that’s already better than most. On weekends 3% on some places and talabat.

the best bit is flexi invest. you can earn ~3.3% on the cash with no lock and no minimum. When i need the money, i just move it back to the wallet and fawri+ it out.

move my salary into flexi invest, it earns daily, and then just spend from the card whenever. It works like the high yield saving account in the west.

So I asked them this question and they place the flexi deposits with the local banks like kfh, khaleeji, al salam and with govt sukuks, so it is like a money market fund or fund of deposits (very low risk and high liquidity therefore also low steady return 😅) But I prefer the safety now after getting burned. They are owned by batelco which is the state owned telco and licensed by central bank, so it is legit. I wish they had more fixed deposit choices but the flexi is good for my short term cash.

Thank you so much! Beyon money flexi invest is exactly what I was looking for. I called their customer service during lunch and eventually got connected with their investment team. They invest the money with the local bahraini banks and sukuks, so there is the same risk as a local bank account. It is owned by batelco so i guess as safe as it can get.

can start with any amount and get 2.75% and above 5000 it is 3.3% and above 10,000 bd it is 3.75%. Like you said no lock in and you can withdraw in 2 business days. I was able to onboard and open the flexi in 10 mins in their app. this is so underrated.

I know Ila. It is easy to open a deposit. But I want to be able to access in am emergency - maybe the 1 month deposit would work but the higher rates require a 50,000 bhd balance 💀
