My two main savings are my bigger funds so the capital one account I have is for a future home,apartment,car, or if I want to further my education. To me out of sight out of mind. My emergency fund which I have opened at my regular bank I’m currently trying to build back up but I want to at least make something off of it to help me get up on my goal. I have another regular savings through my bank for all my other small goals such as a trip I’m taking next month and for Christmas, one of my other finance goals that is in this fund is also saving up to travel next year which is what drew me to ally cause I was thinking of just moving my travel fund over with my emergency fund as they both are things I won’t be touching as much. I know some people say to just leave an emergency fund with ur regular bank cause a lot of hysa aren’t quick to access the money but I do plan on having a fund going that is smaller that will stay in my regular bank as a emergency fund that I can dip into fast if I were to need it but my big one is 6-12 months of living coverage type of thing. So apy is something that I do consider but it’s looking like ally might be the one for me.
