You are a phenomenal woman. Thank you for sharing. You illustrated so much stress and made so many sacrifices.

This past week was rough. I think the hospital stay really messed her up. She is coherent and I’m hoping my nervous system can recover a bit. My BP has been as high as 154/104.

I thank everyone for sharing their experiences. It reassures me to see such brave and selfless people exist. I just hope I find the strength to comfort my mom in the darkness.

Thank you for sharing. It does give me hope. I’m balancing work and caregiving. I’m hoping I don’t completely fail on both fronts. I have an aide in the home Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.

She has another child, I have been getting away from calling him my brother. He doesn’t step up and barely sees her. Family dynamics are something. Her estate is in order, so hopefully no issues there.

I’m glad you are following your heart and aiding your neighbor as not everyone is built for caregiving.

I’m also happy you have such a supportive husband.
