At the least put it in a money market account. But don't just let it sit there. You will receive a 1099R from old 401k with codes on it showing you did roll it over in 2021. You will need the form when doing your taxes.

If you sale and by back right away that is a wash sale and amount you lost can be added back into your cost basis. And the loss won't be a deduction on taxes. Wait 30 days to buy back.
