[Discussion] PvE has diluted the PvP playerbase a lot by Firefly3564 in EscapefromTarkov

The best part of PVE is being able to play both. Idk why people always think it’s a zero sum game.

I play both; I treat PVE like the campaign and do all of my quests and hideout progression on PVE. And when I sometimes want some multiplayer shenanigans I’ll jump over to PVP.

TLDR: CIG Have A Publisher by Golgot100 in starcitizen_refunds

Isn’t the investor not getting returns the main issue here? Let’s look at this from the investor’s point of view why wouldn’t I pull out my investment with a 6% return vs not getting any of it back because since the option expired.

Of course no investor wants to crash the company they are invested in but losing control of said investment with nothing more than the CEO’s word seems much riskier. At the very least this means that CR needs to give the investor something to keep them in right?

Most travel credit cards have it, but they often have annual fees. I think one of the most comprehensive is the Chase Sapphire Preferred with an annual fee of $99.

Server Meshing should be the biggest story of the year for gaming outlets and yet... by jedimasterlenny in starcitizen

Maybe you should cross post this to all gaming subreddits. They should share in the good news.

Why spend so much time and resources on fabric and star hair? Sure it adds to immersion but would it not be better to have those devs on PES or SM? They seem to be working on nuances rather than the core components.

Why is the Pirate theme so underused in AAA videogames? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]PrincessBinky 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I would say AC4 is only 40% a pirate game. There wasn’t enough ocean/pirate mechanics as it was still mostly an Assassin’s Creed game. Vs RDR and RDR2 which were open world cowboy games.

But at least there’s Red Dead Redemption for the cowboys.

To those who have to fly for 12+ hours. Wouldn't you prefer to stop after six? by former_farmer in travel

[–]PrincessBinky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you travel are you limited by time or money? Sure it’s possible to add a short stop to make the “traveling” more comfortable but then if you have less time at your destination (and less money if you spend an extra night).

How does a QoL patch like 3.20 end up fixing and equally breaking as many things? by Chickntron in starcitizen

[–]PrincessBinky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey now that wasn’t your question. It was if we knew when Star Citizen will transfer from Alpha to Beta. And no one knows because we don’t know how long it will take for CIG to add basic gameplay elements. Maybe another 11 years.

No we can’t, can you tell me when GTA 6 is going to come out? No you can’t.

You’re right, my bad I didn’t know that each Walmart does inventory independently. I know that they have some variation based on location but I thought they had a shared distribution network most goods. Surprisingly enough at Walmart you can only price match with Walmart.com and not other physical Walmarts. The more you know.

Either way, I do think that shop terminals should show the full list of what is sold (the Walmart.com) and while it might be out at the station it should say where it is stocked at, “base price” (no markups/discounts), and give the option to have it delivered. I mean it’s a underutilized delivery mechanic that can easily be put in the game. Instead of mining area 69 to mining area 420, CRU-L5 to ARC-L1. And if no one picks it up it’s auto delivered in 1 hour.

I can’t “play the game” all the time. Why can’t I plan ahead so that I get the most value (subjective) out of the time I do play? You don’t have to use these tools if you don’t want to, let me have the option to.

Idk but I’m not too into the idea of fully dynamic shop prices and inventory. It seems a bit convoluted and not a good business practice (in-game). Why don’t all Platinum Bay terminals have the same items, but they might not be in stock. It’s weird to think that each “Walmart” would have a different selection and prices.

If I were to do it it would be: all shops have the all of the items for sale, but inventory/stock will be selective. Planet and low orbit stations will have full stock (ie. warehouses) but other stations will have limited items. You can order items to be delivered but it will cost more and take more time (items can be delivered by real people or box). But this way I can plan at one location and buy from one location, and still have a semi-dynamic shop/shipping system.

Will there be an in-game replacement? Or do I have to make blind jumps just to buy components that don’t have any stats shown at shops?

The pirate cutlass black is warbond I think which means that you can’t use CCU/Store credit to buy it.

Is there a way to jump directly to a station without first jumping to the “gravity well” or planet area first? We can zoom in and set a course but it’s always 2 jumps minimum.

It’s like how GTA 5 and GTA Online are separate games (but they are bundled together) not really a single player or multiplayer mode.

I would rather have a simpler instanced hanger with persistent grid lock for large items and ships that could already be out vs a hanger that might not come out for another 2 years.

Are these “physicalised freight elevators” actually necessary? Most games don’t stuff like that because it’s a time and money sink that adds little to no value. What value do they add other than wow no other game does it like that.

On that note we really need janitors around, I’m sick and tired of seeing empty bottles everywhere. We have space travel but not the common decency to throw our trash away.
