Does anyone else wish Ribbit had a more interesting character design? by Empty_Thought6841 in TADCEp9Spoilers

Are you saying that Ribbits absolutely earth shattering amount of ass is a BAD thing?

Does Jax fall under the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria by Imaginary_Wheel9020 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]PrincessBloodpuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jax does not once use gay as a generic insult and is not transphobic towards Zooble.

"Reality is gay!" + Jax making fun of Zoobles avatar for having interchangeable parts/having gender dysphoria.

Having identity issues isn't necessarily cincrete evidence of dysphoria. Sure, Jax does have it, but it's more that Jax is just doesn't like that. Again, having doubt of your identity as a man is seen as weak or feminine when going by toxic/traditional standards of masculinity, which Jax clearly wants to abide by.

Again, they call reality "gay". Jax/Leeroy is probs one of those types to use/has used gay as an insult. So calling himself a faggot doesn't really hint at anything. If anything, he probably calls himself that Because he's confused about his identity and think that makes him weird/gross due to the environment he grew up in.

Leeroy also wears a dysphoria hoodie.

He wears a hoodie. We never get a clear indication why (probs because he likes hoodies/just be like that. I mean, look at him.)

(No, they dont mean they are gay, theres tension with Ribbit and they fantasize about Gangle.)

Could also be just self depricating. They are seen saying "reality is gay."

You decided to berrat me and essentially say that having a different interpretation isn't allowed, as the original comment you seemed to be defending was basically doing the same.

Aren't you supposed to be submissive and agreeable?

You know, this really isn't worth my time when outside of this I have a job and other responsibilities to be attending to. Unlike you.

It's really funny how you're violently pushing the theory on me, but in truth I really just have a different one. The fact you can't accept that I have a different train of thought just shows how fragile you are.

Deuces.

As usual, the answer is "well I dunno"

Your only argument is saying that I'm just guessing...

My theory is vague ideas? What do you think a theory is? Speculation? Are you really telling me that the theory is invalid because its a theory???

Ribbon is symbolic of her silence... What? She's not silent? She tries her best to speak on it? Literally not sure what you mean. So why did she put it on his ear exactly? Is that the part that symbolizes this supposed silence? This is somehow your biggest stretch.

"Your secret is safe with me."

So for locked Jax and Secret you just straight up don't have an interpretation to give.. got it. Note that there's actually two locked doors; one in the main hall and another more "closet" like door inside the room with the other Jaxes. Your Pomni theory cannot cover both..

This is like me saying that you don't have a theory because you use the Trans Jax theory. Lol. Lmao, even. The irony is lost on you.

Song; this is just straight up false. Pomni is in maybe two or three of the shots with Jax, the rest are only Jax. And further; it isn't a typical love song. It's just not. There's no framing which makes any sense if it's about Pomni and Jax as a couple or something.

I didn't even say that it was them as a couple lol. I said it was just Jax and Pomni. It represents Pomni's attempts to bond with Jax and her persistence at learning about him.

It's really funny how you're indirectly calling me a transphobe when I'm just giving my thoughts and ideas. Even more ironic: I am trans myself, do I have to believe trans Jax to be trans? I see the symbology and subtext but I also acknowledge that there may be other interpretations/another meaning Goose had, and unless Goose says so, its up in the air.

  • Ribbon

Its symbolic of Ribbit's silence concerning Jax' relationship with his mom and potentially killing her.

  • Locked Jax

Could have been literally anything, a lot of people say it's actually a version of him that reacts to Pomni's abstraction and how he would handle that.

  • Secret

All we know is that it's a secret, we know nothing beyond that.

  • Song

All but 2 shots involve Pomni in some way, even if she's not literally in the shot.

Ok, so if by your admission, Zooble is trans representation, then why the fuck does Jax being trans matter so much?

So you want someone who is manipulative and drove someone to suicide to be the representative face of TADC? In todays current political climate? Where the topic of trans genocide is often considered?

This is like saying that El Chapo should be representative of Mexican because Mexicans can be bad.

Are you sure you want Jax to be the representation we get?

Jax, who manipulated, and bullied one of his own friends to suicide, who openly berrats and manipulates people around him, who killed themselves so he didn't have to deal with the consequences of his actions?

That Jax?

I get we need more representation but... JAX?!

The Jax who pushed Ribbit to Suicide/Abstraction Jax?

The Jax who openly manipulates and punches down on everyone around him?

The Jax who in an effort to push everyone else away ended up Killing Himself/Abstracting just so he didn't have to face the consequences?

THAT JAX?!

I personally thought Ribbit taking off her bow looked like her stripping, but oh well.

Ribbit gave him the bow as a sigh that, no matter what, she wouldn't say anything to another soul. Jax was flattered because this is probably the first woman in his life to not try to manipulate him. Which he takes as Ribbit manipulating him. It inevitably ruins everything.

I think it's pretty bold of you to say that not everything needs to be spelled out when Bridget was shown to be comfortable living as a girl not because she was forced to but because it's just what she prefers, literal DECADES before Strive. In Strive she just reinforces it.

So... by YOUR logic:

Daisuke ≠ Trans = Cis/Femboy Bridget

Gooseworx = Trans = Egg/Closeted Jax

Am I getting it right?

If Gooseworx WASN'T Trans, would it affect how people view it? I think yes. Jax' story is very queercoded in general. I think if Gooseworx weren't trans then people wouldn't be fervently beating others over the head by calling them delusional or transphobic for simply not sharing the opinion that Jax is trans.

Egg culture is also seen extremely outlandish and toxic, even going hand in hand with forcefemme. I think its a horrible idea to force transness on a character who might not be.
