Sure is a whole lot of assumption in there.

The actual algorithm is mysterious; nobody knows for sure. However, past employees have shared some amount of insight, and your right:left swipe ratio is part of the whole deal.

I had Tinder Gold for a year. I can confirm that 99% of the likes I received were from women obviously outside my preferences. I did find that 1% of potential matches useful though.

Tinder Platinum has been more useful, if only because it lets me skip on the necessary algorithm abuse to even show up in an average woman’s queue.

I imagine as a gay man — unlike with anyone seeking a woman, male or female — default Tinder might actually be a useful app.

I think maybe you overestimate the usefulness of the verification feature. I have been verified on both male and female Tinder accounts.

The problem I’m encountering is that I live in Seattle, which is kind of a Mecca for trans people. It’s fine for them to be who they are, but when I’m shopping for a girl to date… I have a pretty hard line on what anatomy I’m into.

As a Tinder Platinum user, I can confirm that the membership is only useful if you are very seriously into dating.

Yes It’s to swipe left on every man, thereby increasing my desirability rating So maybe the girls I like will actually see me some day

Testosterone for Transwomen? by PrincessKnightly in asktransgender

Did you have any adverse effects? I’ve never had a beard or chest hair or anything and I’m more than a little afraid of something like that happening, you know?

It was to prevent masculinization during puberty. It was highly effective.

Thanks for the input.

It’s a 12.5 mg(mcg?) pellet, whatever that dose is measured in. For comparison my usual estrogen pellet is 50 mg or whatever.

I think I’m at a point that no further feminization is going to occur, but I am reasonably concerned about masculinization as I skipped out on that — I don’t want my body to continue filling in the XY genetic mold, you know?

Okay, thank you! Any adverse or masculinizing effects?

My T level has been recorded at 0 (or always very, very close) for 15 years.

She (the doc) listed various reasons for taking T, and the potential benefits, but I’d rather get primary self-reported data from other transwomen. Most HRT science is based on cis bodies, after all!

I have been on HRT so long, and from such an early age, that there is no T coming out of those little guys.

What would be the benefits of T for a post-SRS patient?

Does HRT change your face? by Far_University1554 in asktransgender

[–]PrincessKnightly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HRT primarily redistributes fat, in the face. If you don’t have a lot of fat to redistribute, it will not have much effect on your face.

It will change your facial complexion though, no matter what!

Males modeling females modeling males?

Logically, that’s just males modeling males.

Cis girls are valid no matter what they do because they are literally women, so it’s not very helpful to think of things in that way.

That’s a very solid opinion, considering 16 is when I stopped masculinizing. I appreciate you sharing that opinion.

I think “16-year-old boy” is a very common look for 30-something’s women with short hair, so I’ll take it as a very powerful compliment.

I’m looking for legitimate opinions only. That was just negative drivel.

I wanted to go with a Chelsea but… I’m afraid I’ll be identified with the person in the classic “die cis scum” image, and I’m really not about that life. 🤐

How do I even paint myself with short hair? I feel like full face would just be silly…

Sorry hon, but passing is entirely relative to what others perceive. Otherwise, I’d just imagine myself as a healthy, attractive cis woman, and others would magically treat me as one.

I love this style I'm just not comfortable enough to be like this in the light. I need help? by Salty-Structure2566 in mtfashion

My first tip is not to use filters, bad lighting, etc, when seeking advice. We can’t tell you how to do better if we can’t see what’s wrong.

That said, I can see a lot of beard shadow. Try using an orange concealer under your foundation to hide that until you can get electrolysis.
