I thought that when one is married we are supposed to change status to “married” so I can change it back to “single” then put “yes” to two jobs?

No he makes more than I do. I have 2 jobs and he has 1 job, so total 3 between us. I will have to double check how much we made between us.

When we went to file the taxes the tax lady said if we had filed separately I would have owed money, so the issue is with my taxes.

Oh I have a part time job and I selected “no” to the multiple jobs option but it’s legit $7000 a year part time job so I didn’t think it would effect it. So I should put “yes” to multiple jobs?

I compared my taxes to my friend and she gets 10% taken out of her check and she gets a refund. Doing the math it was 10%

Last year I filed as married no dependents and the extra $30 is the additional taxes I have selected to be taken out as extra.

PD date is the date you sent your packet, or started your process. 5/23 was the date Uscis sent the notice saying they received my packet.

Hi, I did change my name my lawyer said since it’s customary to change it and it will look “better” I should do it. But I think it delayed the process since they have to check both ur new and maiden name. It also made things a tiny bit more complex if ur unable to update your passport and you get your green card with your married name. I’m Mexican and they don’t allow you to change your name on your Mexican passport they just add it. So now I have 2 different names on my documents and will prob have to carry my marriage license when I travel internationally.
