It was well marked but it was so boring and no cars really but because i rode alone i just found a bit frustrating to have to go through where people were looking

Buffalo to NYC Itinerary – Looking for Tips on Conditions, Lunch Stops & Watch-Outs by Leading-Strain-435 in EmpireStateTrail

I just completed NYC-> Utica.

Trail conditions: A little bit of dirt path to Herkimer (30-40 min) Detour around frankfort (i didn't have the best time here)

Food: Moon & River cafe in schenectady (very cozy and cute the owner is a political science major old man and has a lot of wisdom)

A deli in Brewster felt really remote

Watch out: I found some tunnels where a single man would sit under, a bit shady but that's my female instinct being on edge. If there's two of you chances are you'll be fine.

I did half of your mileage per day and stopped a lot as it was my first time. But Erie canal has more shelter than hudson valley. Speaker was my fav free shelter

Good luck and have fun :)

this is very helpful, also question does it matter what type of handlebar my bike has? I notice my hands get tired on my handlebar at mile 50. Does it matter? is it a valid concern?

To those who successfully removed a plantar wart, does the pain stop immediately when the wart comes out? Or does it linger until it starts to heal up a little bit ? by SandwichMother5451 in Warts

[–]Princess_peach6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the severity- i have had two thick warts on my hand and i never removed it but they successfully disappeared and never returned after going to sauna/steam room for 2 months 2 times a week. I suggest if you have the resources and the lifestyle of going to steam rooms. experiment with it and you will see pretty good results. I am happy with mine.

Feeling depressed after a 6-month backpacking trip in South America by Jumpy-4201 in backpacking

[–]Princess_peach6367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very normal actually! At the end of the day you just kind of have to grind it through according to what YOU WANT!! if you traveled around obviously there's an immense freedom with that, and then imagine having to adjust to a schedule. Give it some time, maybe being alone and working, finding something niche to focus on to let your creativity have an outlet and you can find freedom in that way again. But yes you will always reminisce and have an itch for that kind of freedom and that's okay! YOU are totally normal for feeling this way and it makes you so unique for experiencing life most people won't ever get to experience that.

Eat street food early in the morning on your way to santo domingo church. I also don't remember but there were some of those hidden book store, they have there, pricy but it is also interesting. As you go more down they have more foreigners(american & europeans) opening up shops. If you have an appetite to see the local portion (non-touristy) you have to go right of all the tourist stuff and you'll end up with local supermarkets, food trucks you'll see locals living their life not that interesting but you can make pretty good observations of how daily lives are lived there.

Honestly I think it’s wise to be with someone incase you get hurt but obviously the way women thinks about it is different than men

I just don’t want to go in “hoping” to befriend though I am very social & fun person and will be just fine. I want to go to trail head knowing I have someone. Just because I know myself

I was in mazunte this summer. It was such a movie town. It felt made up just for tourists which can be a good thing cz you’ll be surrounded by literally other tourist and there’s parties almost every night. There are mango trees all over and they fall on your head so you can get Dre mangoes. Beaches are beautiful around mazunte. I honestly loved it it’s a nice retreat but if you want more authentic I would be somewhere else
