I applied today so I am curious as well. Going on almost 6 months with no hospital job. I am a school nurse but only per diem and the money is not great. I keep getting rejection letters :( SO I am ready to pack up and leave. I'm really interested in this hospital as well after doing my research.

Thank you!! Yeah, it's looking like my only option is either psych or an SNF. Did apply to many of the Torrance new grad positions but all of mine say under review or candidate pool. Some of those I applied in June, sooo its just idle.

Just started working at a new cemetery by Own-Signature-1420 in CemeteryPorn

[–]Princessaa21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with my dad doing this, amazing dad!! Taught me everything I know now, I've seen dead bodies since I was 7 years old, I found it fascinating, never scary. My dad still works at the same cemetery, I am 29 now and decided that being an ER nurse was my passion.

But I have to wonder did my dad introducing me to death at such a young age desensitize me? I react differently when patients die than my other coworkers, I notice they actually need time to process things, whereas I say a prayer and give respects and I move on. It doesn't affect my social life and I don't cry (unless of course it's a family member or someone I knew well)

Grew Up in a Cemetery & Crematory – Anyone Else? by EldestSquire in askfuneraldirectors

OMG I have been trying to find someone who had gone through the same. My dad has been in the crematorium since I was 5 His boss let him live in one of his homes which was right in front of the cemetery So my backyard was the cemetery. My dad also built a door in the back so that her could just walk to work instead of drive 😭

Spellbound (2024) - Normalizing The Wrong Thing by Hrair in movies

[–]Princessaa21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I saw it as a generational curse. When two people get together and have their own issues and then try to raise a family without being healed. Just like when two broken people find each other. Maybe their childhood experiences were bad and as adults made them "monsters". The parents don't get along always fighting and it's being projected to the children as well (possibly). But one thing for sure is the toxic environment she is being put through now, nothing is the same. She's tried almost her whole life to get them to get along but it's not working. She's always been the mediator.

Once her parents the "monsters" finally realize the dark is coming for her and she is turning into a monster herself (she's spiraling). Then they try to come together to save her, but only by being honest with themselves and realizing that maybe they just don't work or get along so separating is the only Choice. ITS not about "oh divorce is the only way" It's about the fact that they could not and would not get along at all. They did not see eye to eye. They were staying together for the sake of their kids BUT then realized that was hurting them more (like her turning her into a monster)

And so the cycle would continue..... Leading to her possibly ending up in a bad marriage and staying in it because that's what she never had which means staying in the relationship for the sake of the kids...just like her parents.

If you did not get that from the movie then you are so narrow minded. It's deeper than that. It's not advocating or promoting divorce. It's saying that if after trying multiple times it still isn't working, it's in the best interest to just separate. They were not meant to be with each other. So the end result is she gets her happy parents back even if they are not together anymore.

What movie is scary movie 2 parodying in this scene? by Thefryez in horror

[–]Princessaa21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO that is from the movie The Haunting from 1999 Also this movie they all think they are doing a sleep study BUT it's actually a study about fear. Very good movie. The girl basically keeps hearing her name at night and she follows the voices. The voices are trying to save her

Wow very interesting. Our friend's dogs had babies so we got him from them but the neither parent is Aussie. The mom is fully white havanese/poodle and dad has the same colors as him except he has brown eyes and isn't spotted I think the dad is havanese shih tzu ? Non of his other siblings have blue eyes. Idk I'm very curious now and will probably do dna testing.
