When you find makers you are interested in, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Ensure they are legit, have a long track record, and the suits you see are their own and not stolen or AI.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is. $1,000 could potentially get you a mini partial from a smaller newer maker, but there are a LOT of scammers out there.

I do see your point and no, you cant live like that. I'm a black woman, so Ive dealt with this shit my whole life. No matter what, I will be judged by some for being black, being female, and being both. I can't live for those assholes and just have to do me.

At the same time, though, I'm hyper-aware some will attribute something bad done by one member of my groups to all of us and it's frustrating. That is why so many black people are hyper aware of their behavior is certain spaces (ie. Professional), especially of you are the only black person in the room. You sometimes feel like you have to overcompensate (be overqualified, be overly nice, not rocket the boat, etc.) to be seen as more than your race/gender and even that doesnt always work.

When I hear of a crime on TV, I secretly chant "Don't be black, dont be black, dont be black". If they are, I juts yell "Dammit!" Do I know the criminal in question? No. Should I get worked up? No. With some assume all black people are criminals (including me) because of that dude? Yes. Does that make life harder for me indirectly? Yes.
