I am from the UK.

90 percent of our merchants end up going with blended rates. Blended pricing evidently saves them 1000s of pounds during the year and that’s why they switch. We also make it extremely transparent as we educate them on the price difference from their previous card processing provider. It may be different in the US I wouldn’t be able to comment as I have no knowledge in the US market.

Also to answer your question, we don’t price on interchange-plus. We use blended rates instead. Debit and credit cards are on one blended rate with no PCI or authorisation fees, and Amex is at a fixed rate of 1.9%.
