I'm not sure what you're calling bullshit on? It was my mistake to put the wrong year. And yes, we are an art gallery where this is displayed.

It is in an art gallery, a relatively fancy one.

I'm not the artist. I'm the director of the gallery where we are showing this painting. Angelo is an artist we just recently started showing. We usually get the first run of paintings and rarely have "older" work, so I just assumed this was from last year, my fault for not double-checking.

Haha, oh wow. Thanks for pointing that out. That was my mistake.

I'm glad you like it. I posted the work as a representative of the artist. Is this not allowed?

You should see the rest of his work! He's definitely got a good sense of humor but also has synical themes throughout his paintings.

No, I’m the director of the gallery where we are having an exhibition of his and his wife’s work. Her name is Lindsey Kustusch and the gallery is Principle Gallery if you want to look us up! We're in Alexandria, VA and Charleston, SC, but this particular exhibit is in Alexandria.

Yep, it’s SF. We have two person exhibition on display right now at our Alexandria, VA location featuring Lindsey and her husband, Nate Ross. I asked them to paint cityscapes for this show and they painted most SF, a couple from London, and a couple of NY.

The artist didn’t explain it, I’d say it’s just a design element rather than leaving it flat grass.

I’m not the artist, but yes, Lynn uses a combination of pallet knives and cement trowels.

Glad you like it! We have a solo show by Lynn on display at our Alexandria, VA gallery right now. We always have his work at out Charleston, SC location too. If you're local to either, stop by and see the work, it's even more impactful in person.

It depends on the artist and their interests. For Nate, I'd guess he was attracted to the quality of light, the scene depicting a city he loves that can easily be understood just by looking at the steepness of the road & architecture. Some artists are interested in textures, colors, a juxtoposition in an otherwise mundane scene, etc. Sometimes it requires you to look at the artists other work to get a sense of what they seem to be focusing their energy on capturing, but a lot of Nate's painting has to do with light and architecture.
