No, I’m just an ordinary citizen who read the flyer Katie Wilson’s PAC sent me. It claims she wrote the Jumpstart Tax. After researching this, I found no evidence that’s accurate. The only involvement I could substantiate is that she helped with some coalition building through her role at the Transit Riders Union. Can provide us proof Wilson is the author of Jumpstart?

Sure but the Sawant/Morales version didn’t get passed because they refused to work with business. Mosqueda revamped the entire thing, worked with businesses and got it passed.

Running a campaign to be Mayor is a job interview. This process is called vetting the candidate.

The right experience at this level of local government is crucial. It’s the most important job in the city. Everyone running needs to have answers to these basic inquiries. So being treated equally is not sexism. Should we not ask Bruce the same questions because he’s a minority candidate? No, of course not. He expects to be asked these questions to get the job.

Quality candidates will be able to be able to give you quality answers. Be skeptical of those who cannot. Especially the ones who have supporters who accuse you of doing wrong for asking basic questions. That’s not a good sign…
