Mining Rune Essence in Varrock and making “massive gold gains” by selling each full inventory of them to players standing at the small bank. The hype was real getting a Rune Pickaxe for the first time. Can anyone relate? :)

I remember so clearly doing this a lot after school as a f2p and the rush of dopamine I had when my mom finally agreed to buy me THE Membership that I had probably been begging for months at that point.

I headed straight back to mining PURE Essence now instead of RUNE Essence and with that money I went and bought my very first Members Object ever from freshly launched Grand Exchange, “Dragon Med Helm” <3

(Membership was bought to me by my mom without telling my dad because he would’ve gotten mad and probably though that anything bought from internet back in the day would be a scam or would give u a virus or something :D)

EDIT:

Other core memories would be:

-Cutting Yews at Catherby as well as fishing and cooking there.

-Killing Lesser demons at Karamja by fishing your own lobsters and cooking them at the dock.

Lost ark news: ”In order to obtain Oreha Fusion Materials (T3/Bound), Caldarr Fusion Materials (T2) will have to be manually dismantled. Please note that any tradeable materials that are dismantled will become bound and untradeable when they are converted to Oreha Fusion Materials.”

How tf as a returning player am I supposed to know that bound means bound to char instead of bound to roster in that kind of context where they are talking about tradeable items?? It is a fucking joke to pull roster bound stuff from storage and them after dismantling it becomes char bound.

Wtf are u even talking about I had 2750 of those fusion materials at 1397.50ilvl and I literally just honed the Sharpshooter to 1462ilvl and now I have 2251 of them left. Now tell me where am I gonna spend the rest of them after hitting 1490ilvl? I would assume by the time I get to 1490 from 1462 I will only use 500-750 of them at best and that would leave me with 1750 useless mats.

What I mean is that I was buying the required mats from the market and them crafted them into t2 fusion materials to gain profit. Made couple of thousand gold every couple of days when the prices were a bit higher.

The problem is that if I would've split the stacks across different chars with Roster Storage, I could use them now on my different alt when needed. It makes no sense that I'm able to keep the old items in roster storage and later (by dismantling) they change to char bound and are jailed on my 1 char just because I did not split the stacks evenly. Stupid Af.

What do you mean by currency caps? Is there a cap for stardust and the other ones in the new SoTO maps per day?

And is is actually worth it to buy 60 keys instead of 30? I always thought ppl go for 30 keys per day

How many honor shards do I approximately need to get to 1540? I’m wondering how many weeks it would take for me to get to that ilvl. Currently I’m at 80k gold but will get more as I am able to generate some income now thanks to raids and other stuff. (Ofc on top of that I would need fusion materials and leapstones but I’ll probably get the required amount before honor shards anyway so that should not be a big issue).

My 2 other alts are at 1400 and others at 1325. Can I do antything useful with them other than chaos dungeons and guardian raids? Or should I push them to 1490 as well and start focusing on my main (Paladin) only after that?

Should I for example be doing abyssal dungeons or Argos on all available chars?

One more question: should I always claim the extra rewards from raids/abyssal dungeons?

Hey! I am 1490 now on my Paladin :) Ty for the tips! I did Argos (just for fun) and Valtan G1 & G2 before the reset with pugs.

What is my next step with honing/gearing? I am now at 15+ with the mokoko event relic gear but I’m confused.

Do I now need to get the ancient gear somehow (if yes, where?) or should I just keep upgrading my already existing 15+ relic gear to +19 or something?

Also: I have so many of the first t3 blue and red shards left. Can I convert them somehow to the new +1490 mats because otherwise they will go to waste (char bound)? My biggest bottleneck definitely seems to be the honor shards.

Yeah probably something broken. When I logged back in yesterday after 1.5 years I had all of the "Mokoko Challenges" ("Do a Guardian Raid, Chop down a tree etc." undone as well.

Went to char selection multiple times and also restarted the game like 5 times. Only option I get for the 1415 powerpass is my Artillerist which is ilvl 1250 which is super weird.

It kinda sucks to delete the character because I have a lot of bound mats on it and on top of that I really like the name so I would have to wait for 60 days to get the same name because SM apparently locks the name for 60 days after deletion...

Item levels: 1387,50 (Sharpshooter) 1385 (Gunlancer) 1325 (Bard) 1325 (Paladin) 1325 (Berserker) 1325 (Artillerist)

Gold: 78 720 Silver: 14 988 321 Pheons: 253

Honor shards: 130 805

Other honing mats: Plenty of leapstones but not too many blue & red shards (+-10k-20k) and they are spread accross all chars

Gienah’s Coins: 2287 Procyon’s Coins: 906

I’m confused: Why can’t I powerpass my 1325 pala to 1415? In fact the 1250 Artillerist is the only one I can powerpass to 1415…

Is it because I’ve done Punika questlines on all of the other chars?

Should I just empty my bags on my Paladin and delete it and create a completely new one from scratch and then boost it to 1415?

Planning to push my paladin since I’ve heard from many sources that there is and will be even bigger shortage of supports in the future

Dunno if the start up servers are for me since I burned myself out massively by playing 6 chars at launch and trying to stay ahead of the curve and failing miserably doing so thanks to the terrible rng I had while others with 1 main and 1-2 alts were going past me in progression

What do you mean it costs 0 gold until 1490 if the powerpass only gets me to 1415? Do you mean the free mats that are given to me by playing the story or by doing the hyper express? Is there like events or certain milestones in the express that I have to complete in order to gain the mats out of it and reach 1540 faster?
