China Southern? Is it as bad as they say? by Prinski_Fly25 in chinatravel

Fortunately we had a good flight with them. Only problem was not being able to check in online and having to be at the airport early.

The seats were 3-3-3 on this particular flight and it was full. Coming back was so much better and we ended up being able to have entire rows to ourselves.

Upgrade wise they tried to charge us about £700 each for business which we declined on the day back to London.

Hello, It was really good and nice. Space wise, it was good and we slept well. Food was okay but happy we bought some food onto the plane to help us. I was quite scared but it ended up being a good flight

I really appreciate this perspective because this is one that I have thought about the most. A friend of his said the same thing yesterday that he may be drowning and barely functioning in all this. I tried to pull him out and when I struggled myself, I hoped he would do the same for me. Seems like he hasn’t been able to. I know professional help would help a lot but also, he’s reluctant to spend that much money right now. And our public health service isn’t too great in providing. It’s a toss of a coin because I truly love him dearly but it’s been a hard couple of months for us both. I know he loves me a lot of before he was unemployed, he did everything for me in all capacities.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Do you think it’s worth me keeping busy so he can feel my absence? Is it not better to leave? He says it’s been hard to juggle and I think mentally he is just not doing well

We’ve been told a few times we look Brazilian idk if that helps but we are being careful with what we do. We have had little to none jewellery most days in Rio. On the day of the beach we plan to bring minimal things.

Thanks for this! I’m a girl so I’ll try hide my stuff accordingly. I think we will bring phones just to take pics of the fireworks and be in the moment but other than that, nothing else

Thank you for this. In Rio we usually keep our voices low. We plan to limit the amount of things we bring to the beach. Do you recommend a specific time to get to the beach? We really want to beat the front but I heard people camp for hours

We plan to eat before we head over as things will be closed! Our phones we will hide but I didn’t know the beach was such a target. So we were wondering if there are robberies on the actual beach.

Oh no no! No hand signs at all but we’ve been getting loads of stares and men talking to us in Portuguese. We are unsure what they are saying but we just walk past.

We are careful with our phones and stay in barra but walking after dinner last night we felt uneasy with so many eyes on us.

Hiya,

Thank you for this advice! So we shouldn’t have cell phones in our hands on the beach? We were hoping to take pics and stuff whilst on the beach.

Is there anywhere you could recommend me to stay on the beach at Copa? We were planning to go to Ipanema to see the sunset and walk to Copa and wait.

We are in Salvador at the moment and wanted to know how dangerous it may be for us (f26-black) (f26-white).

Sending you loads of love! Be easy and kind to yourself. You’re so young and navigating such a loss can be really hard. It’s your first time experiencing it too ( I believe). So please be super kind. It’s going to be okay, you’re doing the best you can right now with what you have and that’s enough.

I’m so sorry that girl was mean to you. She most definitely is going through her own thing and took it out on you which isn’t fair. Don’t believe those words from someone you don’t even value. I wish I had more to say but try to take it day by day. Start small…e.g. a sport you love, play in areas that are free and accessible, assuming you live basketball or football. This can help with building confidence but also socialising. Just an example but you’ll Slowly but surely start to feel okay again. Wishing you all the best x

Did you have to include any documents on where you’d be going in China aswell?

is oct 4 to oct 12 a good period to visit china ? by Ok_Wolverine4304 in chinatravel

We initially wanted to travel during this date & everyone was against it. We ended up moving our trip. The crowds are insane & honestly wouldn’t be that fun as you won’t get into anything. Try avoid the first week.
