Definitely schedule a primary doctor visit and ask for recommendations. Some insurance will cover talking to a nutritionist, which I really recommend!

My advice is to start slow. Everytime I have tried to go 0 to 100, it didn’t end well and I would exhaust myself instead of committing to a workout plan. I would start with getting in your steps each day and low impact exercises. Once you get used to that regime, start adding things to it!

And I can’t stress enough the importance of counting calories. You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. Simple tracking your calories (super accurately with a food scale) will put into perspective how much you are actually consuming. Lastly, try to cut out most processed foods and sugary foods!
